Made an interesting observation today, thought I'd share...

Went to the local Auto Zone, needed some windshield washer solvent and I noticed when I parked that all the customer parking spots in front of the store entrance will covered in oil drip stains and all the employee spots around the corner of the building were clean and oil drip free... I got to...

    Talking about Diagmasters

I can buy a Diagmaster outright with license and up to date Kubota software for around 8 grand. Just what I need for my pre 4 units............ I'm sure it's black market...

What do you use on your GDI engines

Curious more than anything. We have 2 GDI engines (Gasoline Direct Injection) so the intake tracts are basically dry, no gasoline in them to clean the intake valves (on one) and a pilot injector on the other. I use Seafoam GDI top end engine cleaner injected directly into the intake air stream...

    Alternator upgrade

Thought I'd ask and see if it's possible... I see the M9000 cab tractor takes a 60 amp alternator while the open station takes a 40 amp. I would like to change the one on the open station to a 60 if possible as I've added accessory illumination to mine. Both take 1000+ CCA starting batteries...

So, now that winter is approaching.....

In the midwest and north country, what do you heat with and why? Here at the farm we use a propane 90+ efficiency condensing furnace with a bio mass stove to help carry the heat load when it's really cold out and carry the entire heat load on temperate days and have been doing that for around...

    Is it November 3rd yet??

Getting pretty well sick of the constant email messages and phone calls. Already mind up my mind and voted Absentee. Every other phone call is a political one, there politicians must have big bucks to burn. If I 'donated' to every pandering email or call for a donation, I'd be broke. 1 thing...

Wowzer, talk about markup on OEM Kubota parts

As a rule, if I need a part, I get it from my dealer (OEM Part) and I had a relay fail on my M9 cab, the one that controls the heater / ac blower motor so I ordered one from my dealer. The cost of the part was 54 bucks and once I got it, and looked it over, I discovered it was a Nissan relay so...

Got to take my roof off.... again

The climate control blower motor relay took a dump and of course it's underneath the roof so I need to remove it again (2 times this year actually.), What a miserable job. 12 hold down screws and 2 people on step ladders to remove / replace it. Relay set me back 56 bucks but I need the blower...

    Our President has Covid

Don't usually post in this forum but I believe everyone from both parties, needs to say a prayer for Donald Trump and his wife as they both tested positive for Covid yesterday. Whether you agree with his style of Presidential governance or not, please take a moment to say a prayer for him and...

Oh, boy, my ac went out today...

Not exactly, the relay that controls the blower motor decided to cease operation when I was bailing this morning. I finally quit about noon. Even with the back window open and the side wing windows open, it was a sauna in the cab and now I'm covered with hay chaff too. Have to swing by the...

    New drone on the way...

Bought a cheap one to get 'my feet wet' so I ordered an Autel Evo this morning from B&H. My birthday present to me. Need to get a Tablet yet as my Android isn't quite big enough to easily view the drone in flight but will work for now. Was gonna ask the wife for it for my birthday but decided...

    More hay pictures....

Give it a try, cut heavy fields today with the M9000 and my NH discbine, all from the comfort of an air conditioned cab (was 85 outside, 65 inside. Loadung pictures seems to be a snap, so far I like it....(y)

I'll be dang, Kubota has net wrap...

Needed a couple rolls of over the edge net wrap for my round baler (New Holland) so I called my dealer and asked if the had any 51" in stock. To my surprise the parts manager said, a whole pallet so I ordered 2 rolls. They dropped them off yesterday (I get delivery on parts from my dealer (no...

    Almost hay time... My M9000's

Been waiting for the weather to cooperate, While I don't usually post pictures, thought I'd share my 2 M9000's. The cab tractor has my disc bine on it (I mowed the small back field today to make sure the equipment is running properly). The last picture is the business end of the cab tractor...

    Find it pretty amazing

Amazing just how many old Kubota's are still out there plugging along and getting rebuilt and plugging some more. Guess I should have kept my first one, the B7100 HST I had way back when. Pretty neat really. Just enforces my opinion that Kubota Tractors are lifetime units.

    Considering a drone

I've borrowed a friend's DJI in the past for scouting fields but I was taken back by the price of admission but now I see DJI has come out with a Mavic Mini that uses a cell phone in conjunction with the controller (download the App) for under 500 bucks complete with extra batteries, props and...

    Am I dreaming or not....

Am I imagining it or dies it seem like everyone out here in the country that drives on dirt roads needs a muffler now? Every vehicle that goes by sounds like a vacuum cleaner lately. There are a few in the roadside ditch along with various parts like hub caps and busted shocks. Sometimes it...

    Kubota cab tractors ac maintenance

So here we are in 2020 and my 2004 M9 has been exhibiting some interesting quirks. The ac stinks for one and the airflow from the vents has been getting less and less but cooling power is just fine, just hot enough volume and it has a distinct odor about it so... I removed the roof. I've...

    Dealer today....

Stopped in at my dealer today to make a payment on my open account and was chatting with Keith, the owner.. We were talking about the coming Tier 5 mandate (don't know the implementation date) but Keith told me the rumor is all tractors will have DPF and common rail no matter what the...

I wonder about new Kubota tractors...

I wonder if the newer Tier 4 final units will hold their resale value as well as the older pre 4 tractors are? I know that across all brands, pre 4 tractors are in high demand. When the dust finally settles and manufacturers get the 'bugs' ironed out, will the post 4 units hold their resale...
