sorry folks apparently the kubota manuals look at a guide or form of bushing as a boss - items 020 & 030 in the attachment diagram - they appeared to be pressed on as they were so tight but after dismantling most of the related linkage parts they actually just fell out-- replacing this linkage...

simple and maybe a bit dumb but what is the trick to removing the boss combination from the rear lift link

thanks guys for responding-- looks like I am going to need to dig a little deeper and perhaps check out the parts diagrams - everything seems in place like it should - the seat moves freely forward and backward and when it is all the way forward and she sits back in the seat, she still cant move...
