    G1900s weak hydraulics

Start by testing the hydraulic pressure. All it requires is a $15 gauge and an cheap adapter fitting to hook it up. That will give you an indication of where to start looking. Dan

Time for a cam and lifters?

I would not screw with the lifters and abrasives. See the diagram I posted - they have a crown that causes the lifter to rotate from the wiping action of the cam. If its not right they will not rotate and you will be back here again. Pay the shop to reface them. In fact I would probably pay for...

    Yet another Rotella question

Just more FUD and the graph speaks for itself. Rotella T6 0W40 is nearly identical to Rotella T6 10w30 and a perfectly fine alternative with a bit higher viscosity @100C and significantly lower below freezing. Nobody is ever going to claim it voids a warranty.. Kubota's listed viscosity grades...

    Yet another Rotella question

Plot the actual viscosity curves for 10W30 and 5W40. You might find it revealing. Grade 5W40 covers the extremes of all of Kubota's viscosity recommendations including "all-season" 10W30 in a single oil and does it better.

Time for a cam and lifters?

Flat tapperts are not actually flat. Look at the diagram I posted. Refacing is done with a specialized grinder. If its only one tappet buy a new one. You could have the cam reground and all tappets refaced for a fraction of what Kubota is asking. Dan
