    L1801 Custom Tires

L1801 I wasn't getting the bite needed for blowing snow. The rice tires were less than adequate at providing traction. I found a set of dual ladder chains on Kijiji. $50 One set would cover 2 tires. They came off a semi truck. I moved the "rungs" over to 1 set, gives me twice as many rungs...

L2202 Dying Out on Incline Part 2

Is the tank full? Maybe the gadient is enough to starve it of fuel as per your observation. Its a LONG shot but a super easy thing to check. Still under warranty?

Dumbest thing you've done in a shop

Pulled some bone head moves in the past. Here's some of the better ones. -Added 4 litres of bug wash into the rad of a semi truck. Didn't notice until it was too late. -Lifted a 1/2 ton with a floor jack by the oil pan, oops. -Was charging a fork lift battery with booster cable ends...

    reversed front tires

L-1801 I was looking thru the gallery. Came across a picture of a machine where the owner reversed his front tires. Take the tire off, give it a 180, put it back on. Widened the front stance by almost 7 inches. Gives it a sporty look as well!! Will this cause additional stress to the front...

stuck pto shaft on mower deck

I was removing a broken bolt the other day. Noticed that the pto shaft was installed backwards, I didn't know this was possible but the diagram shows otherwise. The collar closest to the mower will not turn fully and release. I have applied WD-40 and tried twisting, yanking, and swearing...

    watering trees

Need a solution for watering our trees. Will take roughly 6 rain barrels (300 gallons) to water them all. A gravity fed hose would be ideal although an electric pump would be fine. Would like a system that can be run solo and without having to get off whichever machine I use to pull it...

1 of my dogs was hit by a car Wednesday am. Dog is fine which is amazing considering the damage to the car. I purchased an electric dog fence, the one where you bury wire. I will be renting the machine which digs, lays cable, and back fills in one fell swoop. Has anyone got advise for...

We are looking to prepare ground for tree planting. I've borrowed a friends cultivator with 1 rule, break ground first with my cultivator. I've done roughly 20 passes over the same ground and it does not appear to be biting any deeper into the earth. If it is getting deeper it's an inch an...

    Bbq

I bought a charcoal bbq a few years back and I've been hooked since. Earlier this year I found directions for building an Ugly Drum Smoker. It was the first day of the rest of my life! In essence it's a 55 gallon steel drum with a few modifications. I'm now cooking ribs, full chickens, pork...
