I ordered the step for a b2650 and it fits perfectly on my b2601 holes for alignment we’re already on my tractor. Had to lift the floor mat to access the two holes on the left and the other two holes are just under the floor area. Can’t say for sure but I’m betting it will work for your b2301...

Does your b2601 have the mounting brackets for a midmount mower ? If so the factory decks are model RCk60-32 and RCK54-32. which are 60” and 54” mowers

I have a pine needle rake that I’ve used pushing backwards, doesn’t seem to have done any damage to the tines. I only do that occasionally and since the landscape rake tines are more beefier I think you should be ok
