    Brakes

I read a thread today from our new member Walt about the first trip home with his new orange. He mentioned brakes and how everything went well on the trip home. That got me to thinking about brake controllers. OTT spreads over such a wide range there has to be lots of different products being...

    Testing the fence, again

Just to bring everybody up to speed due to lightning strike I had to replace my fence controller. I had been wanting to go bigger so I went from a 50 mi. 2 joule up to the 200 mi. 16 joule Zareba. I went ahead and added the 2nd 8' ground rod and even ran a 3 wire cord (all Hot) over to the first...

    A different color

As bad as I hate to say it I have found a green tractor that is a hay baling machine. I have been working this week for a local farmer in the hay field running his equipment. Normal haying equipment pulled by JD tractors, 5085 and a 5105. Both are setup with with Power Reverser Plus quad 4...

    My cows are acting strange

I just wanted to run this by everyone to see if I'm alone with this or is it common. I bought a couple of new galvanized hay rings. I put one in the lot my pregnant cows are. I already had a red hay ring in there. I put the same hay that was baled in the same field on the same day in both...

    Blue to the rescue

I guess this should be in a what not to do thread but I figured I would go ahead and share my bad day with everybody. I didn't do any damage to anything but my pride so I guess it's all good. Thank goodness for kind nieghbors with a big tractor to come help me out of a jam.

    Kubota assistant

Okay, I know it's not a Kubota but it does get a regular workout on the farm. I built this little boom the other night just to use in small areas that are to big to spot spray. Truthfully it was some quality time with my son in the shop cutting some metal and welding but not only that I think it...

Add rear remotes on L 3000

I needed to have remotes on my L 3000 to be able to pull my new V-rake. Checked with Kubota and they wanted $600 for a kit and then it still would need to be installed. I did some research on the hydraulics and how they were plumbed and thought I could do it myself much cheaper. For under $300...

    Getting the mail in style

Tired of the standard duty mail box. It never seems to hold up to a spirited game of mail box baseball that the local thugs seem to enjoy playing. I can't wait till they try to hit a home run on this bad boy. Lets see how well they do against 3/16 plate welded inside and out and even has gussets...

    Teeth

Does anybody know where a good place to order bolt on teeth for a Kubota backhoe bucket? It's been a while back but they where about $30 a piece from Kubota for the bolt on type and that didn't even include bolts. I really don't want the weld on just because it's so easy to replace the others...

    Head Lights

How many of us have suffered with dull cloudy looking head lights on our vehicles? I no I sure have. I have noticed a sign at my local that says they can fix them in 30 minutes for about $40. No need for that route any more and you can keep some $$ in your pocket as well. I saw a add from...

    Question about Glow Plugs

I am curious. Glow plugs seem to be a regular topic here at OTT. On my B 7100 it was a must to use the glow plugs or it would not crank at all. My brother had a 2000 model B 7500 and it was about the same as my 7100 as far as cranking went. My L 3000 and both M 9000 tractors never need them...
