    Installing rear spacers on L2501

Bing Bing Bing! We have a winner. I went up and checked and yes I had it in 4WD! Thank you! I wanted to put the chains on and I like to jack it up and rotate them but was trying to figure out why I couldn't. Thanks for your help! Bill

    Installing rear spacers on L2501

I checked that. I haven't used the pto yet just checked it for operation a while back. Just have a back blade on. It hasn't moved for a few days and it has been cold. maybe if i had drove it a little first? Maybe the brakes just dragging from cold fluid too? But it was in and all dried off so I...

    Installing rear spacers on L2501

Well I took an hour and a half to put them on, not too bad. I have the L2501DT gear model. I tried both levers in neutral and the brakes off but I could not get a wheel to rotate by hand to line holes up. Maybe the hydraulic pump is locking it up then? Anyhow I was able to get one stud started...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It looks like the same model I bought from messicks last fall. Only too about a week to get. Same here, waiting for things to dry up and hand surgery to heal. It should be handy for my firewood I do each spring and save a lot of bending over! Enjoy yours! Bill

    Installing rear spacers on L2501

Well it sounds like what I was thinking of doing, the walking it off and keeping upright then leaning against the loader frame. I have had the ones on my 8N off many times and handled them that way but they aren't loaded. Just was unsure about the weight factor being loaded and was looking for...

    Installing rear spacers on L2501

I have received my spacers and getting ready to install so I can use chains. I am wondering if anyone could offer experience with handling the rear 15 x 19.5 loaded R14 tires. Are they too much for one guy to handle working slowly and carefully. Does the weight become more than you can control...

Stop the ROPS bar from loud squeaking when underway.

I tried 2 bolts and that solved mine. I wear hearing aids and until I figured it out it was a bit of a chore to determine where the noise came from only while moving! Bill

New Kubota L series models available this year

You sound like me last year at this time. L2501DT, and an 1950 8N that needed some help! So enjoy your new tractor, I just wasn't in love with the HST but the L2501 with manual sealed the deal! Bill

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Actually My 8N has been there making life easier for me for 25 years. The L2501 retirement tractor is with the FEL and Bh77 is 10x 8N amazing. But I kept the 8N and it is till my snow plowing and other uses so it didn't get replaced. Like me it is getting help from the kubota! Bill

L3400 FEL side mount custom build

Looks good! What did the bolt thread turn out to be, just a different pitch metric or paint in the threads? I see they have metric making on the heads. I am still liking that self leveling bucket setup. Bill

Pin next to fan pulley screw?

I think I would try the vise grip approach. If it failed, grind it flat then try drilling with a cobalt drill bit to get it below the nut flange. Possible a little heat concentrated on the pin would soften it for drilling with a hi speed drill. I would do all this before trying to force the nut...

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

That word brought back a memory, my dad always called the circular saw a skilsaw. I have his old 6-1/2" skilsaw in the basement somewhere last I knew. Doesn't work, probably needs brushes, but I couldn't throw it away for years. He didn't have a lot of tools, have an old stillson wrench too as...

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

That is what I am saying Jay, if I took some time to figure that out, maybe mocking up with some boards in the garage and using my overhead head hoist to move it up and down with the bucket or quick attach staying level in reference to the floor while the cylinders were unhooked on the top end...

    Securing extra hydraulic hose

I used a muffler clamp with a short piece of pipe and then part of an overhead door spring. It is mounted on the cross tube of the loader and stays on all the time. I have that chain link zip tied in place to try for fit and it worked ok for keeping it out of harms way in testing. I have been...

Anyone using the Self-leveling loader on a CUT?

I see a while back they made the kit for a different loader than mine which is a LA525. I see the linkage involved and wondered if I could duplicate it. Just wish I had the center to center of the pivot points to start a home made version. I would like it most for the fork and grapple function...

    Virnig Grapple

I bought one like that last fall as i got tired of waiting on a land pride that was back ordered for the third time for another 6 months. I like that it has teeth with serrations vs the lp model that are smooth. The down side for me is just after buying it I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hey neighbor, You got the same mess I did, I had to use the 8N with the front blade raised up a couple inches first passes. Then redo it with it down to get it cleaned up. That thaw was a real pain as I had a nice surface on my stone till that, Bill

    An Alternative Home Power Source.

That is the kind of set up I have but then went with a whole generator and transfer switch. Like you say the breaker interlock was an economical install. I left that in place in case I need it with a long outage and running out of propane. i can hook up the 3500 watt gas unit. Bill
