Just an update. I had to grind off the bolts holding the tank and had to dig out the years of hard clay holding it. Now to weld the crack around the return nozzle.

Do you think the support frame has to come off to remove the tank? I can see only two bolts holding the tank where the hose connections are. And thanks for your help.

Count the number of # 43 bolts. Where do they go

Has anyone removed the hydraulic tank from a L4540 backhoe? This is not the A-series. The 4540 implement is used on l3650 and L4150. Parts diagram does not show how it is bolted to the frame.
