Your machine shop will be the best judge of whether it's an issue or not. I'd wager that it'll be fine like it is.

I understand the dynamics of what you are dealing with, which was my point- you have the dimensions, even if the decals can't be read. If you can find images, you have the info you need to get reproductions made. Chances are, originals are non-existent.

If you can find photos of the decals, and provide dimensions of the decals from your own machine, this guy can make them. My steiner is an 85, and the decals on it were only made for two years. They are obsolete. I provided photos and dimensions, and he did a great job with them...

Welcome to the forum, even if unfortunate circumstances brought you here. I would try turning the engine over by hand, seeing if the crank will turn at all, or not. Shutting off twice, with no oil in it, isn't a good sign. Prepare for the worse, anything else will be better.

Can you heat the front axle and see if it makes a difference? My first thought is also water in the axle that's frozen. Use a blower heater, for instance.

Well, sort of. Steiner and Ventrac use gasoline Kubota engines in their machines, starting back in the mid 80's. But, no Kubota tractor. I can't think of a modern tractor that isn't diesel (or electric).
