What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Almost had a very bad day when moving material in the bucket, so I decided to make a mount for some rear suitcase weights. I used the 3pt arms and took some angle iron and welded wings onto it and drilled some holes so I could bolt it to the arms. The goal was to keep it as tight as possible...

    Must be Spring...

Excellent tractor. At some point my engine was replaced with that of a super 88. It's the industrial version with ware loader and backhoe. It's a bit rough and sloppy but i managed to dig the foundation for my shop.

    Simple Chicken Coop

I'm picking up another dozen on friday. We have 36 now. I have the brooder ready, just need to clear some space in the shop. I'm going to build a brooder at the end of the run so I don't have to worry about the chicks getting everything dusty.

Electric vehicles will be cheaper to produce than gas cars by 2027: report

The only way i'd consider an EV is if there was no fancy software and updates and constant connectivity. I don't trust other people to decide what's right for me.

Electric vehicles will be cheaper to produce than gas cars by 2027: report

I am more leaning towards a club car carry all, with lift kit, bigger wheels, and upgraded motor. I don't need 4x4 to haul chicken feed a hundred yards. It's not steep grade. And that totals about 8k compared to 15k for something bigger. A 4x4 bed is sufficient, I can get 8 bags in there no problem.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nice day out. Moved about 30 yards of dirt to unburry a tractor. Graded the area real good, will be putting garden there. B8200 did the grading, b7200 did the dirt moving and rescue my old new holland and took it to the shop. Just turned dusk so timing was perfect, set up in the shop and started...

Electric vehicles will be cheaper to produce than gas cars by 2027: report

I'm not saying i'd get rid of my gas car/truck. But i'm looking for an electric utv to help with chicken feed. Mainly bags back and forth from storage. IT's not going to work for everyone for everything, but for some things, it definitely works.

Electric vehicles will be cheaper to produce than gas cars by 2027: report

The simple answer is, I'll never be able to make my own gasoline or diesel, it's just not practical, especially without relying on outside sources even for biodiesel to make it. But I can make my own electricity. And I do. Solar has finally reached the point where it's not a fad, you can...

When is additional weight too much weight?

I have a question. Why not? The weight isn't on the axle, it's on the tire. It adds to traction. I have a tractor with these, and 2 with washer fluid. Also you dont' have to watch the whole video to figure out what he's doing, you can skip ahead.

Electric vehicles will be cheaper to produce than gas cars by 2027: report

No one is saying EV's have to replace all vehicles. But for a whole lot of people who just putter around town to the shops and work and back, an ev might make sense. Less dependence on fossil fuels that fund terrorists is a good thing, cleaner air is a good thing. If you don't drive more than...

    Must be Spring...

My tractors from that era are a 1953 oliver 77 and a 1950 ferguson to30. Both would make an excellent addition to your model I think.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Went down the shed to get my new holland ready for the garden. But disaster had befallen my little garden tractor. Two flat tires, a dozen wasp nests, and the engine and cooling fins were packed with mouse nests. I did not feel like dealing with it in the shed so out comes the kubota. It's a...

What's your dirt doin' in my hole boy!!!

I wish i had that experience when I was a kid! I was never allowed to touch the tractors as they were deemed to dangerous. Or the manner in which i would operate them would be dangerous.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Needed to grade an area between the new shop and the new retaining wall. It's only about 7' wide and I didn't want the blade to hit the wall and damage it. So I came up with a brilliant idea, that actually worked.

    Kubota b8200d

My hydrualic hose shop rebuilds cylinders for a third of what I could buy a replacement for. Have done a couple on various machines. I just take in hoses or cylinders and in 3-4 days time, I have new ones. Might be worth checking out.

Weak loader on kubota b7200 with 1640 loader

Sorry I didn't get back to you for a few days, work tied me up and I didn't get to play tractors for a bit. I got a better look at the 7200, and it's not like the 8200 for hydraulic blocks. The hydraulics come from somwhere near the fuel shutoff/filter on the side, I havewn't traced them down...

Weak loader on kubota b7200 with 1640 loader

The directional valve opens hte power steering, when it's capped off it's closed so there's no flow. I used hydrualic steering from a JD 318 and piped it in. It works very well. This is the 8200, I'll get the 7200 shortly.
