Black diesel? (Not in a tractor)

I use smudge pots to get rid of my waste oil. I find it's easier than starting campfires and when I go in for the night, just close the shutter and lid, next morning just fire it up.

B7500 will only start when jumped by running truck

I assume both battery posts/terminals are clean. Sounds like a bad battery ground cable (is it the woven type) or where the ground connects to the engine needs cleaning. To prove, take one jumper cable and go from the negative on the battery and connect the other end to the starter mounting bolt.

    WTF FedEx

We all get spoiled, with just a few mouse clicks and stuff comes to us. I to have had poor delivery and wrong items show up. But all in all, it's amazing for the amount of product that moves from the supplier and vendors to UPS, FedEx, USPS. Be glad I not the person putting stuff in boxes for...

    Need advice from lumberjacks/lumberjills

I'd have someone come in with a large excavator with a thumb, dig around and push it over stump and all. While you cut up the tree, let him take down the chicken house and dig you a pit, shove everything in the hole and burn it all. When you bring a dozer to remove the topsoil (save for later)...

    Broken Feed Back Rod

If the rod is the only thing broken and the other parts are still attached, just purchase the rod. I'd suggest changing it yourself. Purchase a WSM which will show how to properly adjust it.

What components needed for a clutch job - L275DT

Check the parts diagram, if the flywheel has damage you may need to have it resurfaced and it would be the time to change the rear seal. Front transmission seal? Make up some pilot pins and have a disk aliment shaft, to make reassembly easier.

    Deed Question regarding survey description

In your first post you indicated that you shouldn't worry about it, but it worried you enough to ask. Not sure about you, but when I was growing up, I watched my than my fair share of Westerns and still do, I'd bet that over 80% were based on land grabs and disputes. The Indians didn't worry...

    Skidding Winch Recommendation

I'm not keen on winches, you shouldn't be pulling from your three-point setup. If you're in the woods and try to use the winch you still need to rig the tree, you're trying to pull, then tie the tractor to a tree to keep from sliding., nope not me, if the tractor can't pull it the I just double...

    Deed Question regarding survey description

I'd start with a surveyor, preferably the one who subdivided the property originally and have him confirm your concerns, additionally I'd suggest having him produce a certified survey showing all improvements, easements, ROW's, utilities, fence rows, etc. Also have him confirm that what you...

    Chain link fence install DIY?

Consider an electronic dog fence. Once your desired fence is installed, the dog will dig out if he has a mind to, and you'll be stuck maintaining 375 feet of fence row. Even with a very secure fence be reminded other varmints can still get in, most dogs are good, but let him corner a mother...

    OK gearheads

It's good practice to close the fuel valve and run the gas out of the carburetor, when it starts to sputter pull the choke out to get the last little bit out. Additionally, on all pull type engines pull the starter cord until the engine is in the compression stroke, this eliminates the...
