    I do as DustyRusty does, but I also drop the three-point linkage and use a spring clamp to keep the third function buttons on.

    Pending the battery's age/condition confirm that the posts, terminals and connection points (positive/negative) are clean (not just tight!), if a replacement is deemed necessary, take the three measurements and get one with the highest cold cranking amps that fits.
