Adding loader and backhoe to BX?

I bought my BX25D1 as I had to have a BH. I can no longer use a shovel since getting a new hip. Getting older sucks. That aside we looked at first the option of converting a tractor to accept a BH but I could not find enough part sources from used tractors. I thought this was a good thing as...

    3pt finish mower Land Pride

Thank you for all the thoughts and ideas. I do believe we will be going for a used 3pt mower for now. A MMM is not a good options as I have the BH kit installed and it greatly limits the size and adjustments of a MMM. Next week is the big Farm Fest at Ozarks Fair so I will be able to see and...

    3pt finish mower Land Pride

RC yes my mistake it was the 2 6 footers not 5 footers I was comparing. I own a BX25d1. Because of the backhoe the MMM is not the best choice. I was looking into the difference of 16 vs 25 series 3pt mowers. There are times I do not get to the grass right away and it gets a bit high. 6-12...

    3pt finish mower Land Pride

I have been reading a lot on the different mowers out there. For now I am just hogging most of the 10 acres but I do have about 1.5 acres I mow now. Within a couple years I want to convert 5 acres to nice grass or at least county park quality grass. As I looked many still call the Land Pride as...

Got My Titan Pallet Forks Today

The 30 inch forks was the first thing I bought. With only a lift capacity of 5-800 pounds I did not see the advantage of longer forks. I have used them to move RR ties 4 -6 at a time, downed trees and brush, pallets a safe or two, pretty much anything I did not want to lift. I even use them to...

    Building pad with box blade

This looks just like the pad I cut over my leach lines. I had developed recessed channels that kept water on top of the lines making it smell from the inability to drain out. Enough of that crap. I also watched at a couple tractor pulls and rodeo ground setups something I have not seen in...

    Tips on removing 3-Pt attachments

First I have a baby tractor so I do not need heavy tools to work with it. Second I am cheap. I bought most my implements used but I also have some that are new. The best thing I bought was a small tool bag 9x9 that sits next to the seat. It is commonly called an electrician's bag. In it I carry...

    MMM or rear 3 pt?

Thanks for he thoughts and replies. I am going towards a 6 foot finish mower 3 point mount. I hooked up my little swisher and did a cut over the weekend. Never felt it behind the tractor. Yes it has its own motor and it is smaller than what I will use but I can go slow and 2 of the 6 foot mowers...

    MMM or rear 3 pt?

That is what I thought but I could not find the specs anywhere. So is there any advantage to the MMM over rear? I read many find tight corners are easier with MMM and I am not worried there. But is service easier, cheaper, parts more available? Or will it just be a preference on how I want to...

    MMM or rear 3 pt?

Many have an opinion bu I am curious of specs. I prefer the rear 3pt mower so I can take it on and off easily. The MMM I would have to modify my belly cage and stuff. Not a big problem but not what I want when we mow weekly out here. I own 11 acres and it is rolling land with a lot of tree line...

    king kutter tiller not fitting

I bit the bullet and cut the shaft to fit. I have 2 inches slide available and maybe at full extension 3 inches engagement. To get 6 inches of engagement I would have to buy the quick hitch at another $200 or modify the lower pins. I watched a few videos and everyone had a short shaft like mine...

    king kutter tiller not fitting

Rather than start a new thread for the same problem I too have this problem. I have a BX25d and when I fit the tiller up to the 3pt I only have a few inches left between the joints on each end. The photo is not real clear but I only have 4 inches of plastic sleeve between each hub. If I take off...

    Box Blade ?

I bought the Land Pride with my tractor a BX25D. When I am ripping ot hitting rocks it is all it can do to pull the 48 inch box. I have all the time I need so I am not looking for speed. Happy with the 48 incher. I find the most important is to learn how to adjust all angles. If installed...

My latest shop project-trailer to haul the BX

The front mounts are easy with all the room up there. I am still looking for the best rear mounts. I have a lot of time as I do not trailer my tractor much. Next trip is end of April to help my son landscape his back yard. BTW a good friend of mine lived in Ft Wayne, Andy Caldwell?? He was an...

    BH Dolly

So here it is. I was going to make braces and tie the two together but in a rush I just dropped thee BH on the dollies and it is amazingly stable. I can push forward and back as well as side to side without it wobbling. BTW KISS here is Keep It Simple Senior as at my age stupid does not work.

My latest shop project-trailer to haul the BX

Very nice build. I made a 12 footer using c channel and 2 foot walls. Eventually I will finish and weld in a metal floor and walls. My intent was to be able to haul dirt or rock as well as the tractor. Many told me a single axle would never be safe. Buy what you can drive build what you can use...

    BH Dolly

I have been reading all the great ideas and even bought all the metal and casters. Then the other day I had to hook up an auger quickly and the barn was a mess. I did not have the room to unload like usual. As I was pushing things aside with the back hoe as I was also feeling lazy I uncovered a...

    BX Tractor Advise

I too played the new vs used game for a while. In Spro OK there is a guy with a lot of Kubotas. Pricing was good but also real close to getting new. In the end I got a new BX25d-1 TLB. I have really played hard for the first 30 hours. I have resurfaced a 900 foot drive cleared a pond, dug out...

    Gravel options for driveway

Not exacttly, it was a truck with a work crew brooming it but they were convicts. Sprayed oil then spreader with sand and crews brushing it afterwards. All I could think about was who will eat all the hard boiled eggs?

    Gravel options for driveway

I have a 900 foot drive built by a rancher over 40 years ago. He set it with washout mud and light gravel. I have been running a box blade over it to get it a bit smoother. We added 6 semis of dirty base#2 and again this year more dirty base and clean top gravel. By the house it is good but down...
