    Cutting steep banks question

I have a similar bank I have to deal with. I mow up/down the slope vertically, and then I mow the level part at the top. When I mow the level part horizontally, I let the tires ride just below the crest where it goes from hill-to-level. Not enough to tilt the tractor much, but enough that...

    B2601 Temp Gauge

Hi guys, The temperature gauge on my tractor always shows it running cool... like maybe 2mm above the cold line mark. No matter how hot or cold it is outside, the gauge rarely moves. Most of the work I do is between idle and around 2000rpm, but even when kicked up to 3200rpm running a wood...

Four-wheel drive; Not all tires turning

See, this is why I ask you guys these kinds of questions. Ya'll know stuff. Thanks for the excellent explanation!

    B2601 Hydraulic Oil Level

Hi Everyone, I just did my first HST and Suction filter change and have some questions. I'll ask forgiveness in advance if this is a bit elementary, but I'm still pretty new at all of this... When I changed the filters I lost probably 1/2 to 3/4 quart of oil. Just a rough guess looking at...

Four-wheel drive; Not all tires turning

I never understood this. If the wheel with less traction is the one that gets power, it's a bit useless if you're mired down in the muck. I've had the same problem in my 4x4 truck. Just seems like the wheel with the most traction should be the one to get power -- you know, so it can actually...

Heavy load LED light bars on B2601

Hi Guys, Sorry -- not ignoring -- just taking it all in. From what I gather, even if I switched to an alternator, I would still need the 30a relay. Is there a specific part # for the "alternator kit for an L3300"? What is a "1-wire alternator?" Does it somehow connect to the dynamo output...

Heavy load LED light bars on B2601

For the amp draw, I just took the watts printed on the product label, at 12v and came up with 10a. I figured that would be worst-case. As for the charging system handling it. I wondered the same, but the stock breakers for headlights are 10a, the cigarette outlet is 10a and the factory work...

Heavy load LED light bars on B2601

Hi guys, I have a couple of 120w LED light bars that I'd like to put on my tractor -- one facing forward and one rearward. The issue I have, from what I can tell, is that there are no existing fuse links that would allow for the 20A pull these lights would draw (10A each). My thought is to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I loosened a bolt with it. Had a bolt rusted in place, couldn't budge it by hand, or with a breaker bar. Put a wrench on it and pushed the wrench with the bucket a few times... loosened it right up!

Thank you! It seemed odd to me that there hadn't been any corrections or updates in 4 years.

    B2601 wsm

Hi guys, My B2601/2301 WSM just arrived. Code# 9Y111-11560. It has a revision date of Nov 2014. Is that the latest revision, or did they ship me an old book? I have a 2017 B2601 and want to make sure it's the accurate book for my model. Thanks to you all in advance.

    new tractor stalling

Definitely check the seat sensor. My B2601 does the same thing if I lean forward or too much to the side. It's a hassle cause I'm usually just trying to look at what I'm scooping with the bucket or forks and just shift my weight a little too much.

    B2601 how much ballast?

I have a 2601 also. I got one of the Titan Ballast Boxes and filled it with cement. I added a couple of 4" PVC pipes to use as tool carriers, and a few bolts to use for attaching other stuff (ie toolbox, cooler, etc.). All in all, it weighs 615 lbs and I'm pretty happy with it. My only gripe...

attaching PTO shaft...does it have to be this hard?

On the B2601, with the PTO selector moved to the Front PTO position, you can spin the rear PTO freely whether the tractor is running or not.

attaching PTO shaft...does it have to be this hard?

I asked this same basic question a month or two ago. I'm also a tractor newbie with a B2601. Someone gave me this tip and it works perfectly. Here's hoping it helps you too... On the B2601, put the PTO selector to the Front PTO position. This will disengage the rear PTO completely, allowing...

B2601 heavy loader load, hard steering

Tires are R4's. I don't really notice the tires squashing much, just that steering becomes a little tougher. Most of the time I'm in 2WD, but sometimes in 4WD if I'm in the mud working. I do try to roll a bit as I turn... similar to a car w/o power steering. I just wanted to make sure...

B2601 heavy loader load, hard steering

Hi guys, I have a new (50hrs) B2601 and have noticed that if I have a heavy load on the front -- bucket full of wet dirt or forks with logs -- that it becomes harder to steer and it sounds like the front steering is struggling. The loader is able to lift the load, so I wouldn't think I'm...

    B2601 hill mowing advice

I have a 2601 as well and I'd echo what some of the others have stated... get 2" rear wheel spacers from Brotek. The spacers turn the tractor into a completely different machine. Stability is improved for every task you'll want to tackle. I really cant describe just how much more stable the...

    PTO spline alignment

Re: PTO spline allignment You guys are great! Thank you so much. Putting the PTO lever in the "front" position allows the rear shaft to spin freely. It perfectly solved my problem. As an FYI, my tractor is a 2017 B2601. Thanks again to you all!

    PTO spline alignment

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to tractors. I've had my B2601 for about 9 months now and keep struggling to get the PTO spline on the tractor to line up with the PTO spline on the attachment. So, when I try to install the PTO shaft, one side or the other doesn't line up. I usually adjust the...
