$3000 for dealer installed top and tilt: fair?

Still waiting for my LX2610SU to come in, may be months, but I'm already adding options! I'd like to add top and tilt, or at least two rear remotes so I can add it later. Dealer gave me a quick quote of $3k for the whole package installed, which is semi-attractive since I can get this as part...

    Plagued by inventory

looks like I'm starting over! Found out last week that my sales rep at the dealer quit/retired out of the blue, with no warning or communication to me or Kubota! Now I'm talking with a higher up, who confirmed that there is no tractor on the way. He's hunting for one, but of course I doubt...

    Plagued by inventory

Oddly the exact thing is happening to me now. Found a barely used (5 hour) tractor half hour away. Same model I ordered. So I'm interested to know if you had any pushback cancelling the order with Kubota? If I can make the deal on the used tractor I will definitely want to cancel the order...

    Plagued by inventory

in fact I just got off the phone with my dealer and voiced my displeasure. I know he doesn't have a crystal ball, but if in fact the tractor is "in a port" he should be able to tell me which one, and even the tractors vin number. So, he says he's going to look into it and call me by the end...

    Plagued by inventory

I'm more upset with my Kubota salesman. I ordered my tractor 2 months ago, after diligently talking with two different dealers. My slightly closer dealer told me right up front that he didn't think he'd have the tractor I wanted until July, with no promises it would even be then, but the other...

equitable way to purchase and/or share implements with neighbor

solid advice. I like each buying implements and borrowing on occasion. I already loan him my log splitter, and once a hydraulic hose blew and he didn't say a word. Just returned it when he was done and EVERY hydraulic hose was replaced with new, new fluid, filter, etc. Unnecessary for sure...

equitable way to purchase and/or share implements with neighbor

my good friend/neighbor and I both have or will soon have new Kubotas (LX and an L). I know there are certainly some pitfalls, but I'm wondering what a fair and equitable way to purchase/borrow implements together? On the surface this sounds great. We both want a wood chipper, or flail...

MSRP vs dealer pricing in the California Bay Area

good advice to be sure. Both dealers have come down since I posted, and are within a couple hundred of each other. But one has the tractor I want already on the way set to arrive within the month, so that's likely the route I'll take. Thanks for helping out a tractor newbie!

MSRP vs dealer pricing in the California Bay Area

I've been researching and lurking for quite a while and am about to pull the trigger on a new LX2610SU. I have heard that most dealers are selling tractors below MSRP, in some cases 10-15%. But the two dealers near me are both a bit above MSRP, one by a grand. I'm in the California Bay Area...
