Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

Makes sense. Definitely would want to have it on, if God-forbid something happened.

Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

Thank you for the compliments on the avatar! I’m pretty sure he thinks he could drive the tractor already, haha. Yes I do have plans to add a seatbelt with the ROPS. From what I’ve heard sounds like it’s pretty crucial to have both.

Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

I agree, such a kind offer from rbargeron! It will be really nice to have something that is designed to bolt right up. I took a look at the tractor and it still has the bolts where it is supposed to be mounted.

Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

Thank you sir! I will go to the PM. I really appreciate the help with this. I did check my tractor and it has the 4 bolts on each side where it would mont on top of the fender. Still loose from who ever removed the last one.

Just bought my first tractor: 1989 Kubota L4150

That's a good idea. I actually just ordered some of those earlier this morning with the idea of doing that very thing. I could then get a cheap set of bolt-on forks for the times that I might be moving a lot of brush or need to lift a pallet or carry long lumber, etc.

Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

Wow thank you! I do think I have the place for it to be mounted but I’ll double check. Where are you in MA? I’m in MI so I’m trying to figure out how I might get to you. Thanks everyone for the great replies. Yes I do have a post on the Forestry Forum right after I bought the tractor about a...

Trying to get a ROPS for an L4150

I am trying to get ahold of a fold-down ROPS for my 1989 L4150. It didn't have any ROPS when I bought it and although there are many of these tractors with ROPS I called my local Kubota dealer and they said Kubota doesn't sell a ROPS for this tractor. I was really surprised. Any idea of how I...

Just bought my first tractor: 1989 Kubota L4150

That's a really great point. I think there's no question that SSQA is the best option. Just need to find the right parts and see if I can justify the expense.

PaulL, you make some great points. The weight and changing the pivot point was my main concern. But you helped me see another angle. While I do intend to use the loader for moving dirt, mulch and rocks at times, at a 2,000 capacity on the loader I probably won’t be at much risk maxing it out...

Just bought my first tractor: 1989 Kubota L4150

Thank you for the ATI link, that is exactly what I was looking for. So they add more weight and more expense than say a weld-on SSQA adapter? Is that generally the recommended route to go as apposed to a pin-on adapter for those reasons? Thanks

I am certainly intrigued by the idea of getting quick attach. I know there are kits to modify the loader arms by cutting off the old pin on attachments and weld on new SSQA. Are there any adapters that you can just pin on to the existing loader pins that allows use of quick attach implements?

Just bought my first tractor: 1989 Kubota L4150

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I haven‘t been able to get on the forum again until now because I’ve been busy with work. I did pick up a new seat for it. Right now I’m trying to figure out the best spot to put hooks on my bucket. The top of the bucket is fairly bent up. I’m thinking that...

Just bought my first tractor: 1989 Kubota L4150

I just bought my first tractor. 3100 hours. Previous owner spent about $3,300 at a shop recently fixing various things and putting all new filters and fluids. It operates very nice. My goal is to have it to use around our 4 acre property helping out with landscaping, wife’s gardening and moving...
