    Need advice on BX1880/2380 purchase.

Yes, I think it mows great. So that my comparison is fair I'm coming from a walk behind mower not a zero-turn. I prefer to bag the clippings -- always did it that way growing up kinda formed a habit that is hard to break. I have been reading a lot about mulching and think that I should probably...

    Need advice on BX1880/2380 purchase.

I personally own the BX1880 with the front mount snowblower. I also have the mid mower and grass catcher. I can tell you from experience that mowing is no problem. Snow blowing is where I can really feel it. I have turf tires, and the traction is great. I have 800 ft drive way with part of it...

    No Throttle Adjust On BX2680

Yes -- this happens to just about everyone with a BX. One of the first things I did was to replace the bottom factory nut with a nylock nut (then kind with the white plastic bushing inside it.) I have not had to re-tighten again ever since. I think it was 19 cents at the hardware store.

Can I run an electrical line against the hydrolic lines?

I have not noticed any significant temperature in the metal pressure lines. I put lights on my rops, and I have the wires zip tied to the hydro lines all the way down one side under the fender up near the loader quick attach and then into the battery compartment. I have the wires covered in...

Looks fantastic, congrats! I see it has a grass catcher as well is it powered or just air flow from mowing deck?

    new bx2380 thinking about bagger

I have the kubota grass catcher. It works great. I think its biggest weakness is that it attaches to the 3-point hitch. Its not quick hitch compatible and its fairly time consuming to get on and off. It fits my situation because I put it on in late spring when its time to mow, and don't...

    hitch receiver for BX

I wish I could have done that. No welding experience. Its something I would love to be able to do. How do you even get started to learn that? It seems like videos on youtube are great for a lot of things bur welding seems like it wouldn't be one of them

    hitch receiver for BX

Here is a picture of it mounted on the tractor. I have full motion of the three point hitch and it does not reduce ground clearance. There is enough space around the side to get the hitch pin in through a draw bar without difficulty. I was a little worried about that so I checked and made sure...

    hitch receiver for BX

I have some light duty needs, so I was looking for an inexpensive solution. I found this hitch receiver on Amazon, $20.16 and free shipping if you have prime. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0008F671S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 From the user answered questions, the...

    Mower deck on BX

Re-read the post -- it sounds like yours has more drop than I thought when I first read it. That part is not normal.

    Mower deck on BX

Not sure which screw you are referring to. On mine, the height adjustment can only be made when the mowing deck is all the way up. If it won't turn, it means it has settled a tiny bit and its not quite at the top. Just pulling the lever back to raise the deck will solve the issue. And yes...

    Front snowblower on new BX2380

Yes, sorry for any confusion, I assumed you were asking about the Kubota blower which is PTO powered but can use hydraulics for the chute (optional). On the 80 series I can switch from blower to FEL very quick, prob 10 mins max but I will admit the quick hitch is heavy and if at some point I...

    Front snowblower on new BX2380

BX1880 here. Has the quick coupler for the loader. The Kubota snowblower doesn't use it. Out of the box snowblower uses two of the hydraulic ports for the hitch to mount it. IF you get hydraulic controls for the blower (costs extra) will use the other two ports. Comes with hoses that...

    BX2380 & tires

For the mowing, not really. Just one sloped berm/retaining wall area. Its pretty steep but its only 15 feet or so, the turfs are fine on it even when grass is wet. Have an incline on the driveway its not terribly steep sometimes cars without 4wd will slip a little on it. The BX seems to have no...

    BX2380 & tires

I can tell you that I got turfs with mine and they work GREAT in snow, I have tire chains still in the box never even had to put them on.

Thinking about selling my BX snowblower

I have a BX1880 that I bought this past summer with the quick hitch and blower. From the pictures in the manual it looks like the design for it has changed a bit. If you can find out if anything has changed as far as hooking the quick hitch to the tractor, it might help you decide how to...

10-15% Below MSRP before or after incentives?

Well I don't think you have to take it to the dealer you bought it from, but, I look at it this way. Selling the tractor is easy. Service after the sale is the hard part. If the dealer is doing the service right, I want to support that and reward their success by purchasing the tractor from them.

10-15% Below MSRP before or after incentives?

As a proud and satisfied owner of a BX1880 I can make a couple suggestions. 1. Make sure the low horsepower model is enough. I don't have a riding mower and my land is very flat. I mostly mow, and do bucket work. I've been happy with it, though when snow blowing up a minor incline on my...

Snowblower Front mount or rear PTO - Thoughts?

I think the BX have an advantage here in that the loader can be taken off and on very quickly, and so can the snow blower. Easily less than a 5 minute switch. If I needed to use the loader every day it would probably grow tiresome quickly but for occasional loader use, with the front blower on...

    BX seat modification

I have to agree with wolf here. I don't think the material the seat is made of is designed to be supported by very small amount of material where the bolts attach. Its designed to support weight with the steel cross members you see underneath. While I can appreciate your ingenuity in solving...
