Thoughts on Upgrade for my B2301

I had both tractors you're considering, only the previous model numbers, and like you went back and forth finally deciding on a B2650 (LX2620). It was a nice tractor and big step up over the 21hp B7500 it replaced. It ran well and had plenty of power but the hydro was a little whiny (improved on...

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

You're right, I'm sure some wouldn't understand how to operate a hydrostatic transmission.

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

Riding it up your trail would be a good idea, maybe it'll go fast enough for your needs. I'm on my 4th UTV and have learned a few things, one is get one that can go a little faster than you feel you need. My first one was a little Mule 610, now called SX. Top speed was said to be about 25 mph...

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

I don't own an RTV or Polaris but I was in the local Kubota store which also sells Polaris talking to the owner about Polaris and the Kubota RTV's. (I ended up buying a Kawasaki Mule but that's not my point) He flat out told me not to get an RTV. He said the power company ordered 6 of them the...

    When PU's were work trucks

I had no idea they still use a solid front axle and leaf springs? Other than maybe a dump truck I wouldn't want anything but independent suspension, at least on the front.

    When PU's were work trucks

I think all of them anymore. It wasn't always the case, I can remember old heavy duty 3/4 ton trucks with heavy live axles and leaf springs F&R. They rode like an old wagon.

Which brand of used UTV has the Best value / least problems?

There's no flat land around here and I've never had any of my SXS's close to tip. Needless to say I don't ride them across the side of a very steep grade rather more up and down. Same with the zero turn, garden tractor, or regular tractor. But you're right if you're out in open area where width...

Which brand of used UTV has the Best value / least problems?

While true, it's not a problem for many uses such as moving mulch, stone, and other chores around the property, riding to the neighbor or mailbox, leisurely rides on trails. At only 52" wide it'll fit on small ATV trails that larger 60"+ wide SXS's can't. They're a stoutly built little machine...

Which brand of used UTV has the Best value / least problems?

100% with you on the rear diff. The little Mule 610 had one and I scratch my head why Honda does not have them on a couple of their models. I also have a Pioneer 520 (which doesn't have one) and that limits it some where I use it. Also power steering can be nice, it's one of those features once...

Which brand of used UTV has the Best value / least problems?

Good point, I would definitely get one with a rear differential that can also be locked. Both 520 and 700 Pioneers do not have differentials, I'll probably be selling my P520 for this reason.

Which brand of used UTV has the Best value / least problems?

Mule 610 or SX as they're called now are solid little units for work and just getting around, IF you don't need to go over 20 mph or even that speed on rough terrain. I had a 610 and it was trouble free. Sold it for a Polaris Ranger mid-size and while it went 40mph and rode better I never liked...

Weed killer that won’t kill grass

I'm actually looking for the opposite, something to kill grass but not broad leaf vegetation or weeds, if anyone has a suggestion.

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

These are always the saddest posts, I'm sorry dirtydeed. :( Nothing I can offer other than: the memories Dakota gave you will always stay, and time helps. 12 years is a great life for most dogs. But the loss of a friend still hurts.

    Credit Rating Nonsense

I have experienced similar "scores" as you, low 800's and just checking right now........... 796. Whatever, I could care less except insurance companies can nick me for higher...

Thinking about buying a Z422KW-54 zero turn

Well it should save you a lot of time. It did for me when I went from a B tractor with 72" mmm to a 60" ZTR.
