    new tractor B3150 or B2601?

I may be mistaken but the Boomer series appears to me to equate more closely to the Kubota "L" series. The L series has more ground clearance than the B series but is not a particularly large tractor. Of course I don't even know if it's available everywhere.

    L2501 Horse Riding Ring

The proper tractor for dragging your arena will depend on the size of the arena itself and the weight of whatever you're dragging to groom the arena. I have seen an arena groom heavy enough to raise the front wheels of the tractor off the ground when it's lifted. Take the weight of the...

    New Kubota L2501 ordered

With that mower, be sure your three point sway turnbuckles do not allow excessive side movement. They can be forced into the tires by the mower swinging from side to side and rub or damage the tires. The L2501 does not include a right grab handle. It's not even in the parts book. It is in...

B2410 Seized Alternator, Smoked Fan Belt

I'm not familiar with your tractor but look at the radiator mount. You may be able to loosen or remove the mounting bolts to achieve enough play to pull the top of the radiator forward to allow the belt to clear the fan and shroud. You may have to rotate the fan to work the belt through the...

B2410 Seized Alternator, Smoked Fan Belt

I'll go along with what eserv said but add that the bearing is usually a common item - not special to Kubota. There is a number on it which tells what it is. Any place that sells bearings should be able to provide a new one. As far as the fanbelt goes, if you have removed the alternator...

For Cleaner Air on L Series

Thanks for the tip. I think the extra pressure required may have been because I hadn't gotten the inner filter on quite far enough. I'll take it apart and try again.

    BarÂ’s radiator tablets...

I like Thermo Cure. It's $20 a quart from Walmart - you use the whole quart. It took my Mitsubishi system from four quarts back to the original six quarts. Follow the directions but when done you needn't limit yourself to the recommended number of flushes. Throw in a couple extras. I would...

For Cleaner Air on L Series

I purchased a new L2501 HST in July. On this forum I learned of a second air filter which may be installed INSIDE of the existing air filter to remove any particles the first filter missed. This filter may not be in the L2501 parts list. The local mechanic told me in my case it is unnecessary...

    Overheating problem

Bubbles in the coolant are obviously coming from SOMEWHERE!! Be sure it's bubbles and not just the flow of water caused by the water pump. If you do elect to change the head gasket it is not really that major, mostly just a nuisance. Look the job over first. You don't JUST change the head...

    Battery Tender/Maintainer

I suspect many people do use a battery maintainer. I'm not one of them. My tractor charges when it's running and doesn't seem to lose its charge when parked. I think my last battery lasted about twelve years that way. The only time it ran flat was when I had starter problems. I replaced the...

    Inner Air Filter L2501

I think the pros outweigh the cons. I'm picking up an inner air filter for my L2501 today. At less than $20 it's cheap insurance. If the outer filter does its job properly I should only need one inner filter for the life of the tractor - which should certainly far exceed my life expectancy.

    Kubota L3800 reading hot

I think you covered it with bad sender, gauge, something else. From following posts here I think your gauge itself may be the culprit. I'd have to look at schematics to give troubleshooting tips. You need to know what kind of signals you should be working with.

    Right Lifting Rod

What a coincidence!! I too have an L2501 and it does the same thing. The solution is to tighten it with a wrench and check it periodically. The turnbuckles on the three point arms are also prone to creep and can allow the three point to contact the tires. If I can't get it to hold I'm...

    Kens Bolt On Hooks

One more very satisfied buyer of Ken's hooks here. I measured according to the directions but couldn't BELIEVE my tractor took the tallest hooks he sells. It did, perfect fit. I went to install them and discovered his Kubota drill guide was not in the package. I believe this was on Saturday...

    Inner Air Filter L2501

I learned about the added air filter here on OTT so I inquired. The local mechanic feels it is not required in my case. If I was using the tractor all day every day in very dusty conditions he said I should use the filter. I do live in a very dusty environment but don't think I average more...

Need some information on Rotary Cutter and Box Blade please

Measure carefully the distance between pins on the mounts for your anticipated rotarary cutter and box blade. Then measure the spacing on the quick hitch. I have a wimpy little L2501 with its Category 1 hitch. The spacing on my cutter is about 28" (not Land Pride) while the spacing on my box...

    F3060 Glow Plug Issue

I suspect you'll find they are shielded glow plugs - the shield protecting the heating element, common for diesel engines. The common mode of failure is for the glow plug to short out instead of going open. When you energize the glow plug and it's shorted to ground your voltage is shunted to...
