    PTO shaft too wobbly?

I'll go along with Botamon on that one. I have hit an object mowing and had a blade fold back and stick throwing everything out of balance until I freed it. It would still mow with only one free blade but I didn't care for the vibration.

The right way to engage pto

For my L2501 my Kubota mechanic recommended engaging the PTO while at idle then bringing it up to speed. For disengaging the PTO he recommended always depressing the clutch to minimize wear on the faces of the PTO gears. He didn't tell me it was necessary but I am going to add an over run...

    battery service

Reading the white label on the first line it says maintenance free. That means they do not expect you to remove caps and service the electrolyte. If you manage to break the caps out you will be unable to easily replace them. Charge the battery and have it load tested. That's about all you...

    Coolant Temp Gauge on L295DT

In many cases (but not all) the temperature sending unit is located close to the thermostat. If wires were removed your temperature gauge wire may have been among them. Try to score a manual for the tractor. If the water pump is working and not leaking there is no real reason to change it.

    B1610 starting issue

When you replaced the battery I hope you cleaned the cable connectors, too. Tighten securely. Follow ground wire to frame connection. Clean and tighten there. If it still won't spin the engine at a normal speed have the starter checked out in a shop. It could have problems.

Zg222 only start and run with choke pulled

I've had good luck with Sea Foam cleaning carburetors. Try a mix of about half Sea Foam and half gasoline. If the engine will start, run it on that mix for a minute or two to ensure it's throughout the carburetor. Then shut it down and let it sit overnight. It should be fine the next day...

BX2380 50 hour maintenance - changing transmission fluid?

I think it's a personal preference thing. The mechanic at my local Kubota dealer said a complete hydraulic fluid change at fifty hours is unnecessary - just do the filters. From my perspective, if there are pieces floating in the hydraulic fluid the filters should catch them as the fluid is...

    B 3030 Starter problem

You must satisfy all the safety interlocks for the unit to crank. Your user manual should identify them. On my L series of course there are the seat and PTO switches. The HST pedal must be in a neutral position and my clutch must be depressed. There may also be a neutral switch though my...

    L4701 Dead as a Doornail

It does sound like a defective connection somewhere. That could be it or your computer could have died or need reset - if there's a reset button somewhere.

    Pat's Easy Hitch Question

I got Pat's Hitch when i bought my tractor. I love it as a work saver but I did have to make some accommodations for it. I needed a longer top link and I had to get a longer PTO shaft. It turned out I had been using a too short PTO shaft for about fifteen years. Being new to an HST...

    Clutch help

A poorly adjusted clutch can indeed cause slipping. If left that way it can also cause the clutch to wear out prematurely. If unsure where and how to adjust free play get some help from a friend, neighbor, or a mechanic. Unless you're equipped to do so you do NOT want to split the tractor.

What didn't you do with your Kubota today ?

Either you're not a unicorn or we both are. I use my tractor for mowing my fields a couple times a year or clearing the driveway of snow a couple times a year. Other than that I'll do assorted odd jobs and clean up chores through the summer - brush pickup or light dirt work. Having whipped...

Moving a lot of dirt with L2501

You could move your hill with a shovel and a bucket so the L2501 will certainly do the job. It may not be the fastest or best way but is capable. It will take more time than larger equipment, though.

    l3710

If you have an HST transmission it would be best to stick with Kubota fluid. If you have a gear transmission Kubota fluid would still work well but you could probably use a good quality tractor transmission and hydraulic fluid. For the difference in price versus the value of the equipment I'd...

    B7500 Operating Temperature

I've got the L2501 - different series, probably different engine. When it warms up completely it's at the bottom end of the "Cold" range. I bought it new. I've not put an actual temperature gauge on it but I do know tractors tend to run cooler than gasoline engines. Sit back and await more...

    3-Point Hitch Adjustment Turnbuckle

Sometimes you may wish to use an implement such as a box blade for cutting a shallow ditch instead of leveling stuff. The turnbuckle gives you that option.

    Trouble using grease gun

Normally, after inserting the cartridge into the grease gun, the loading lever is released to allow the spring inside the gun to apply pressure to the grease in the tube. It appears the zerk fitting from the tractor is stuck in the grease gun fitting. That indicates it was not screwed tightly...

Storage? Portable Canopy Garage, door is too short.

You should be able to fold the ROPS as suggested. As far as any canopy type storage consider the winds in your area as well. I tried one of the cheap ones from Harbor Freight but had to redo it every time the wind blew - we get some pretty strong ones. I gave up. Tractor now lives in the...

Kubota B5200 Rim PN KUB-66414-17520 Tire Size 7-16

I can't offer much help with your issue other than to caution you if your tractor is four wheel drive there is a ratio to be maintained between the front and rear wheel circumferences. You should also note that and ag tire is not the same as your turf tires.
