MX6000 - Fuel savings running at 2,220 rpm vs. 2,700 rpm

I always run my tractor at idle unless it stalls doing the function needed, or PTO. God bless diesel engine torque.

    Work secrets not passed down

I've been in a couple situations where I've been asked to train my replacement. The answer is always no, and last time I said no I was mentally prepared to walk out. Management backed down. Nothing I have is written down, and it won't be either.

    So….. calling people ANYTHING RUDE!

I thought you were out cutting firewood? Gotta buy and burn that 2cycle gas before all those folks currently in Davos who want to ban oil refineries decide fuel is only for private jets, not chainsaws or tractors.

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

We live in a neighborhood with a private 400 ac lake. Its boating season 9 mths a year. If we put 50 hrs on the motor a year its a lot. Pack cash and Sig and sounds like it will be ok.

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

Yamaha is absolutely top tier. I would think it would be good 3-5K hours as a rough estimate, depending. I see a lot of people running wide open, like you I'm a diesel guy and prefer the minimum RPM to get a task done, my boat cruises best around 3500 RPM so it should last a good while. Keep...

Anyone here own a boat, or know a lot about boats?

Very nice boat, Robalo is a good mfg. Looks like it has the Yamaha digital system, which is a very nice control setup. I'm a "Mercury" guy, but Yamaha and Suzuki would also be strongly desirable motors. A 150HP setup will be fine for what you've been describing, I have a deck boat with a...

    Coupler Help

The part numbers I gave you the 8n is on the grapple, 8s on the tractor. The two on the grapple connect fine to each other but will not cleanly connect onto the tractor.

    Coupler Help

Thanks again Dan, but I can’t get them to couple. The two on the grapple connect fine. Going to order two more to put on the tractor side and hope this issue is resolved. What a pain.

    Coupler Help

They do compress but it feels like they won’t go all the way. Oil does drip out when they’re attached but not secured. for one pair, these are the numbers the grapple side is ag12f-08n The side is ag12m-08s

    Coupler Help

I got the new couplers from Summit but they don’t seem to fit correctly. I can get them in the fittings but the snap ring won’t come down. Any ideas?

    Coupler Help

Thanks all. This whole thing is confusing. The hoses on the grapple are 3/8 and it looks like there’s an adapter to fit the flat face couplers so I’ll order the summit ones suggested.

    Coupler Help

Can someone tell me what kind of couplers I have on my tractor? The 3rd f(x) is Summit hydraulics. The Homestead implements grapple I must have selected flat face. I went to TsC and picked up these Pioneer couplers but they will not attach to the 3rd function. This is on the tractor This is...

    Everything Attachments Grapple

If you want to argue the semantics, their policy is spelled out very clearly on the website. You have a choice to be a customer or not. If you are not a customer, I'm not sure why it concerns you anyway.

What's the big deal going to a freight terminal anyway? It's not like a bait-and-switch; they make the conditions of sale very clear, including the delivery. When I was considering ordering from EA (and will in the future), the local freight terminal was about 10 miles away. Just hook up a...

Stump removers, What have you used

I sure hope so. Your review really helped make my decision to spend the extra $700 and get something better. A few years ago I bought a "Dirty Hand Tools" chipper/shredder from TSC, it was a total piece of crap and not worth the effort it took to bring it home. Given I've already been burned...

Stump removers, What have you used

I ordered a DK Power stump grinder from HD. Just sent it back today (unused), as I read this thread and will be ordering the Woodland Mills PTO Stump grinder. That looks like it will last the rest of my lifetime.

    Everything Attachments Grapple

I'm sure you'll love it. EA has a fanatical following. That was the bonus of ordering from Homestead Implements (grapple) - their carrier dropped it off in my driveway. The real reasons were saving $250 for 40 additional pounds of material (279 lbs vs. 239 EA); and the 5 weeks between...
