    3rd function connections.

My loader came with a 3rd function which I use for a log grapple on a pallet fork frame. I’m on and off often with it. The connections were set up with the Female end on the implement. Male tips on the loader. A coloured zip tie kept it in the right order. Well, pulling the collar back and...

    On the fly shifting

Same with my 7060, I can drive it just like my manual car/truck. There’s no way I could start off in 4-6th with a loaded trailer to go up the road. I downshift just fine too, just like my Tacoma. Hardly have to touch the brakes.

    Hydraulic Fitting Assistance

Count your lucky stars there’s not British Pipe Thread in the mix....... can you cut the end off the hose and put another fitting on it to not bother with adapters?

    New MX5400. Steering problems?

On my M7060, with a heavy load in the grapple I’ve had times I can’t turn the wheel while stationary, but the steering wheel will not turn and if ya try to ‘force it’ you can sort of feel what I’d assume is the hydraulic relief working. This is with a near max loader limit load. Once the...

M7060 RPM loss after 1 hour of use

Another thought.... how do you operate it? What rpm? Heavy load or putting around? I try not to idle much, but most I do is loader work so it’s slow going. So when moving around the yard I let’er scream 2400rpm and when roading I try to run WOT to help keep the DPF clean and hot. In summer...

M7060 RPM loss after 1 hour of use

Just an out there thought, what condition are the rubber fuel lines? Could they be collapsing? Somewhere else on the interweb I read a fellow was having a power issue and it turned out to be bad fuel pressure and he ended up trading in the machine. Let’s hope it’s not that for you. What about...

M5-111 hydraulic top link with additional travel over OEM?

This is also the way the m6’s are. (At thwart my 7060) I got a cat 2 top link from Princess auto recently and used a bushing in the tractor end. A 10” stroke is about the same as the manual link. I don’t think you’ll get one that is both shorter and longer...

    Hydraulic chute

I’m sure all loaders are a bit different, but, the one I have, the third function is activated by a diverter on the loader itself. It takes away the curl function so there are no ‘extra’ hoses to use with the loader removed. so you not have rear remotes? Is this a 3pt hitch snowblower?

    E-PTO and regens while working

Hi Botaman, I’m not trying to start a war of words just making sense of your friends situation.... I’m curious what state he’s located? I have an affected VW TDI. A 2012. Up in canuckland, we had a choice as Geo mentioned. I’d never saw mention on the VW fourms of anyone being forced to sell...

Crazy noises coming from exhaust pipe during regen

I’ve noticed some huffing and puffing noises while in regen and the fist few times just saw makes a guy go ‘huh!’ But I’ve never watched rpm close enough to see a drop or noticed one like you saw. Thanks for sharing your observations hopefully it’s not an issue

    E-PTO and regens while working

I’ve never had it happen yet, but I’d either.... stop and switch out of EPTO so it could regen and keep mowing, or, ignore it then do the parked regen when finished.

Breakaway Coupling Bracket for Rear Remote

If you have to buy the bulkhead connectors anyways, this is not a bad deal (at least compared to Canuck prices!) the bulkhead fittings are $60 a piece at a supply store... plus 20 for the clamp bracket. ive been wanting to make my 3rd function this style for ease of connection (just push...

    Oil change interval

The M7060 manual has oil changes at 500 hours. No mention of time. Some other items have a time interval. It’s as black now after 100 hours as it was at 500, last time it was changed. An oil change is about $100, not a lot but not something that needs to be done early for peace of mind...

Weight limits on Cat 1 attachments

Fwiw, I have pallet forks with a single arm grapple. I’m picking up a good jag of logs at a time out of a pile and moving them around. Even without the rear ballast on I don’t have any issues. Sometimes she feels a bit light on the rears so the next one I just try to take a few less. Maybe...

    Wood Chippers

I think you’d be fine with a bigger chipper. At least if you have a hydraulic feed as you cAn adjust the infeed speed, or, ‘feather’ it using the on/off bar/lever. Remember, the opening just does not control the size of material you stuff in, that 6, or 8” opening will allow you to put in a...

Weight limits on Cat 1 attachments

Hopefully you can solve your rough ride issue, new rubber won’t be cheap! Can you make your own ballast box? Find an old 55gal drum? This way you can use Cat 2 pins if you desire. I’d think most boxes you’d buy would have the replaceable pins anyways and you could Swant them out (maybe have...

Draw bar uses if you have a 3-point or quick hitch mounted receiver?

I’d think it would depend on the size of trailer and what you’re doing. I know I couldn’t with the dump trailer on, tongue not long enough.

Draw bar uses if you have a 3-point or quick hitch mounted receiver?

I pull a trailer on the highway, and the 3pt hitch trailer mover is not safe enough IMO for that. (Loaded dump trailer). I Have a receiver hitch on the drawbar, and like mentioned keeps the hitch weight low and won’t ever raise. I posted a pic on here a while back of the piece we had made up...
