New M6060 - Very little lift on 3 point hitch

This is in my 7060….. draft control is all the way down….. height control doesn’t start moving links till where it is in the picture (2nd dot)

Standard double acting rear remotes, double acting remotes with float and snow blowers.

Sorry if I’m being silly here but I’m not trying to stir the pot or argue about the driveline theory at all! But I use the top link cylinder on my blower and find it useful. On hills, as small as some are, it’s helpful to adjust the blower. Or when the snow has packed down and froze, you can...

    Operating the dual speeds transmission

Yours may be slightly different than mine but yes, the lever on the (usually) left side of the steering column. No clutch needed for that. From what I understand, The clutch pedal, and that lever actuate a switch (same switch basically) that does the magic in the clutch pack. Your owners...

    Operating the dual speeds transmission

I snowblow in low range and gear 2-5, depending. I keep the revs up like you say around 2000-2200 to get 540 on the pto but I don’t worry about that exactly anymore. rather than use the foot clutch, you can also put it in and out of gear with the shuttle lever. Don’t set the hand throttle...

    Northern Owner Sperience

Dwight, I’m north of Superior…..I’ve only ever used Power Service (white bottle) additive. Couple glugs in a tank. I put it in my diesel VW as well. No problems at -40. I keep a Diesel 911 handy in case it does gell. Keep tanks full to avoid condensation. I run Shell T6 5w40 in diesels...

    Kubota Electric Tractor Survey

interesting….. I had a 400a service put in my place a few years ago, 200 to the house, 200 to a new pole building. It was about $2000 (had a 200a on house already). New meter base, and a new line from pole to meter (all underground). It was only marginally more than running a line and sub panel...

    Throttle rpm?

I could be out to lunch, but I think what happens to folks is, the regen cycle wants to happen but folks either don’t let the cycle complete itself, or don’t let it happen at all. If the machine is working and parameters are met (rpm, temp etc) then the operator may not even notice it happening...

Going to motorize my snowblower chute

Looks like a fun project! I’m sure it’s turn into a rats nest of wiring, but it should be possible to have a limit switch for each direction, a micro switch won’t hold up but a magnetic proximity switch may work with some creativity?

    M7070 extra wire ends???

The Chrome switch was added by the previous owner for the beacon. The switch by the PTO knob is for the extra work lights

    M7070 extra wire ends???

Hkb, do you have the extra front work lights? I do from factory….. there’s an extra switch on the console for them. Im thinking those wires are for an extra set of work lights. As the wires I found up there are used and ran down for those

    Hydraulic Line Connection Problem

I’ve forgot to leave my key on (tractor off) or pushing the wrong 3rd function button on my joystick to relieve pressure in the 3rd function ……

Considering purchasing a Woodland Mills WC68 6″ PTO WOOD CHIPPER for My LX2610

you won’t likely ram much 6” round wood through it but the bigger opening makes crooked stuff go through so much easier. Less trimming crotches and such. I have the 88 and love it even though it is overkill and completely unnecessary for me, it’s just plain fun chipping stuff.

    Bucket or plow for snow

I have a rear blower and bucket on the loader. I’d like to try a blade, but the bucket is nice to move snow from where it can’t be blown, then blow it away. Or spreading sand without having to swap (it’s -20 outside the cab remember!!) An angle blade to quickly plow then blow the windrows...

Friendly PSA - Treat Your Fuel, Cold Weather is Here

I put PowerService White bottle in fuel all year round. In my VW and tractor. I’ve seen it below freezing here in July. And, I understand the additive increases the lube of the ULSD, so it’s a bonus for the high pressure fuel pumps in our CR engines.

Immediate threat! Need advice on Tick spray

We give our dogs a pill, called Bravecto. It’s supposed to work against ticks for up to 3 months. it likely doesn’t repel them off so they could still bring them in. We recently travelled and had a few very small ticks on them but not biting. Apparently they were the nymph/young stage of...

M7060 3 Pt Hitch Not Lowering Properly

Costnsg, I too have an M7060, I use it with the draft fully forward. I’ve never had any issues as you describe. The 3pt goes up and down no problems. I did have the speed control seized up when I got the machine. ( It took a lot of friggin to get it to operate. The ‘tube’/rod that rotates the...

    M5660SUHD Fuel Usage Per Hour

Do you have a digital display on your dash? If so there may be a fuel flow screen. my m7060 shows burning anywhere from 2-12L per hour depending on engine load. RPM is not an indicator of fuel burn, you need a torque gauge too :)

Wallenstein vs Woodland Mills Wood Chipper

I’ve looked at a few Wallenstien chippers in lots, and ended up buying a woodland mills WC88. I use it 5-10 hours a year. i couldn’t justify the price difference. Is the quality better? Maybe a tad but not that much better. I doubt for homeowner use there’s a difference in longevity with...

    Kubota Super utd fluid alternative

I once bought a pail of oil from the local bulk duel depot (Petro Canada). That oil was listed as meeting the UDT spec I believe. (This was before I had a tractor) At any rate, this oil was more expensive than a pail of our canadian ‘premium UDT’. So the price for oem is not outrageous. a...
