    Electric Car in your future?

This was a requirement back in 2018-2020 as per building code ammendment. I don't disagree with your feelings on it though. But it's for new construction not anyone that pulls a permit. As a side note,I built a garage/shop in 2018/2019 and was not required to do this. Upping the meter base...

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

What brand of loader do you have? I have an ALO/Quicke loader on my Kubota, and I'm pretty sure all the flat faced couplers are British thread.... Mine leak too.... exactly how you describe. in the ext few days I plan to take one off and see of there's O rings I can change.

The WSM has a bit of info, but says they should go away when the problem is fixed….. Here’s screenshots

    Hydraulic top link

With the hydro top link, you can change the angle of the snowblower cutting edge on the move, so when you suspect/see that unlevel spot, you can shorten the link, leave a bitof snow and the gravel. Then when you get to the pavement or the spot you want scraped, lengthen it out and scrape it...

    Snow tires

I've seen quote a few tractors with the Nokians for snow removal. I'd love a set for my machine. At rhe rate I'm going it'll be years before the R1's are wore out..... they suck on hard packed snow..... chains not an option for long road drives... You could also look at studs?

    Buying a 2016 M7040

Some Internet scrounging looks like that model is a basic no frills machine. Being a tier 3 with no dpf, that alone makes it a good deal! I see one listed on Kijiji.... there seems to be newer than 2013 SU models in other parts of the world, maybe there was a weird loophole to bring that one...

    Hydraulic chute build

The old blower I have uses a cylinder, pushing an arm, that pulls a cable that’s wrapped around the chute. It’s pretty simple but it sounds like you’re on your way with the motor and gearing, looks like a fun project!

    Buying a 2016 M7040

I seem to remember seeing a narrow version of a 7040 and I think it was newer than 2013, this was in Canada…. Or was it an SU model designator, not sure what that was but that’s what’s coming to mind for what it’s worth!

    Favorite Squirrel rifle

I have a Chiappa Little Badger, use 22 short sub sonic (cci 720fps) quieter than an air rifle and shoots straight. We only have little red squirrels here but they cause enough damage to need thinning out!

Kubota M7060 Fuel Tank lower fuel line connectors

When I looked at the diagram it didn't appear it was a part, so I suspect it's not replaceable from Kubota at least. If you drop the tank, you'll see the fuel level sensor, remove it and that will give you access to the inside of the tank, then you can see exctly what's on the inside of the...

Kubota M7060 Fuel Tank lower fuel line connectors

I had my tank off a few years ago,my memory is a bit foggy, but looking at the parts diagram to help jog it, now I seem to remember the fuel hose connects to a plastic nipple that does not look easily replaceable. The good thing, the tank is not hard to drop down,I assume it's empty now if you...

M7060 Losing Power after warming up

If your leaning toward a hydraulic issue, maybe try changing the hyd filters. You have to drain the oil….. it’s a 3 pail job so think about reusing as per the manual. I found a plastic container that would hold all the oil when dumped…. The WSM calls for the first filter change at 500…...

    princess auto hyd top link.

I’ve had this same cylinder for over a year now and it’s been fine. I’ve liked having it for the snow blower to change the ‘angle of attack’ of the cutting edge when going up and down hills. When roading around with the snowblower or bush hog, I notice slight leak down, but on a 5-6km ride, I...

TWA 800 fuel tank explosion theory

Huh! That’s a heck of a story Geo. And a heck of a theory but just as good as the NTSB’s really….. Fate is the hunter…..

    Garage/Workshop Build

One issue I’ve seen with metal roofs is, and it’s likely due to our extremes of weather up here…. (-40c to +40c) the metal expands and co reacts just enough, screws will work loose, rubber washers will fail or if not installed properly will fail. I know one guy who has had to re-screw his roof...

Some of the other underlayment products are good for some time exposed….. Nova Shield is one. Ice and water shield all over is good as mentioned, but you’ll never peel it off when it comes time to reshingle in 18 years (assuming you’re using the 40 year or lifetime shingles that last 15-20...

Glad you were able to push through, nothing worse than something like that happening….. but don’t feel bad, Murphy helps out a lot around here too! That’s a fair bit of back and forth with a bucket full of cement!

Hydraulic Top Link Pros/Cons & Recommendations

Lots of Pros and I agree with them. One Con i have is, (I have a cab). Changing implements having to adjust the top link length to hook up takes a few trips into the cab sometimes. A very first world problem! But way more effort than turning the screw to adjust the length of a manual top...

    Garage/Workshop Build

Well I’m glad to hear the lumber prices are as silly there, as across the shield over here in Northern Ontario… PWF cheaper than spruce here too…. Lol. $50 for a 2x10x16’…. Nice looking project thanks for the updates! I’m trying to add a lean-to, but this is what it looks like here…. No mud...
