Whats the coldest temps outside you will run your Kubota?

One of the loggers in our area made a comment one day about warming up machinery in the cold.... once running (some preheat with a construction type heater) he would set one of his hydraulic functions (on a skidder blade for instance), to hit relief and leave it there for a bit.... the bypassing...

    Simple repair, but frustrating

Thats not any where near fustrating!!!! I have leaky flat faced couplers to the loader..... females do not have oring kit available, and are $180 each..... other brands may not work, if they are larger in diameter, they wont 'fit', theres a row of 4 connectors in very close proximity.... (one...

    " Firestarters" for woodstoves ?

I light my stove at least once a day too..... house gets too hot keeping it going some days. I save birch bark from splitting, and all the chaff from the wood splitter/processor. I tear up cardboard boxes, any boxes and paper really, and use that to light the stove too. Saves sending it...

    Leaking Flat faced Connector(s)

When you shut down next time, bleed off the pressure, (wiggle the controls) and disconnect the couplers. Clean them off. Wait. See if any are weeping. Im going through the same issue, but mine are only leaking while connected, pointing to the female couplers. Some brands have replacable O...

    7060 won’t run when cold

Take the fuel strainer/ separator off and right apart. The inlet is a 90⁰ angle that can get plugged with crud. There's no filter in the tank or before that..... I found a piece of foil inside my tank from an additive lid that was getting sucked against the fuel line outlet causing this...

    L6060 delete

We don't have gun toting federalies up here enforcing EPA laws. OP will be fine in the place he is, and be better off being fixed up. I've also heard about the company mentioned, if you're trusting of overseas places in Bulgaria or Ukraine, there are some guys over there that can help too.

    Tractoring at -50c / -58f

Except...... the sun dont rise for a few weeks in some places!!!! When the door handle of the airplane broke off at -40 something, I decided it best not to fly one day.... don't often see thermometers measure below -40, even up here. We have a lot of people switching to propane heat, but...

Hydraulic oil compatability, Jd oil, Generic, Kubota...ect

You won't need to add much oil to your 7060. You won't change it till 500hrs if you follow the book. Keep a gallon jug around! And in Canada we have 'Premium UDT', you'll see our American friends mention UDT or SUDT. We have neither in Canada.

Glad they got it adjusted! Gove that area a spray with some oil/lube from time to time, there's a little bearing on a shaft that pushes one if the forks around..... when it seizes and wears flat, it's darn near impossible to adjust the linkage!

    Good or Gimmick?

I have one on a 7060, and as stated by others, it's not a gimmick!! I drive on highway a lot, and can see it working. One place it I find I shut it off for is precise pallet loading, say into a truck bed, as you don't want it bouncing any.

The linkage can get messed up, or not adjusted right, will make it hard to shift. You can get it into 2 different gears in the same slot, if you apply a side pressure one way or the other a bit.... If you find a WSM manual online, you'll see how it all works. You likely have issues going into...

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

If they were on the snowblower that would mean they'd only have made 2 connections for those 2 years we had a summer and it didn't snow in all 12 months!

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

So, these flat faced male couplers have replaceable O rings..... the females do not, unlike the ' normal' style. And, the p/n from ALO for one seal kit is $112cdn..... lol. Parts guy said just to replace the fittings.... ya right.... at $120+ each (x8). That's a lot of oil. Mine...

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

Shadow, I've checked the fittings, the block on the loader frame with the males is a British pipe thread. The hoses on the loader are NPT...... I found a seal kit part number.... I took a good look and have found one leaky female coupler giving me the issue. I can't see how to disassemble...

    M4D-071 Recommended Wheel Adjustment

I changed the width on my 7060, R1's with cast center's..... these ones have 4 positions depending how you mount the center. I went from narrowest to 3/4 and the difference was night and day in stability. A second machine was available to us, i couldn't imagine trying to do it without...

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

I didn't have any other parts handy to check the thread, but the 3rd function on this loader was British pipe thread. I had to get adapters for those to convert them to pioneer type (ohcanada supply had a good selection)

Flat face style couplers.... garbage or somthing else?

Hi shadow, here's a pic of the couplers on my Quicke loader.... They are 'Faster' brand. There are O ring kits available but I'm not going to bother taking one apart not knowing the timeliness to get the right ones..... I can't quite tell where they leak from when coupled, but they do a bit...

    M7060 question / idea

I thought about looking into that idea,I saw a kioti that a fellla had done this same idea on, and he liked it. If you had a wiring diagram, I don't see why it would be so hard to tap Into the wiring from the f/r selector as I believe it controls the same electric 'clutch' valve. If you try...

    iPhone / iPad questions

I recently made the switch from iPhone to an android (samsung). It's a learning curve for sure, different gestures, menus are a bit different, slightly different 'language', but overall I've been happy and wouldn't be in a rush to go back. Wr also have MacBook and iPad but never used the...
