    What does this mean?

on a lot of turbine powered airplanes, 'N' is used as 'rotational speed' on engine gauges. I'm sure there's a fancier way to say it. I assumed it was a German or french word but having spent some time googling it now, cause now I want to know after all these years, there seemed to be no good...

    Running Long Distances

i drive (m7060) 5 miles each way into town 2-3-4 times a day some days. WFO. (short for.. pedal to the metal) make sure the flashers are on, SMV sign is on the trailer and visible, some days the pallet forks with log grapple are on the loader..... just drive defensively, pull over and stop to...

    New Guy looking at m60/7060

My uses are quite different from you, but i enjoy the 7060. i'm just moving firewood around, all 8' logs (for now) that i have delivered as going to the bush around here is not possible without permits, and even more equipment than i have. However,'for cleaning up the yard, moving logs, pushing...

    Hydraulic Auger

I hired a guy with a skid steer to do holes for sona-tubes. 30" holes. i didn't realize how a smallish rock would throw the auger's 'level' off and make the hole go crooked. with the skid steer it was relatively easy for the operator (experienced) to tickle the machine a bit around to keep the...

    M9540 PTO buzzer

i wonder if the seat switch is not working.... unplug it and jump the wires together with a short piece... if the buzzer does not come on, the switch it is. i had to disconnect mine and do this on my 7060 as it would buzz every time i turned around to look at something.

    Steering mushy in 7060

The steering cylinder on mine (exact same as yours) is weeping a little. I'd have never noticed it but i dyed the hyd fluid so i could see it better on the dip stick, and happened to notice some blue around the steering cylinder. Mine drifts a bit when at highway speed, always tugs a bit in...

    Quick connect fittings pressurized

I've put a ball valve on one of the grapple hoses (lower cylinder hose) right at the quick coupler to eliminate that line having pressure in it for connecting. that way i can leave the grapple open, close the valve and disconnect. I'd like to get a 'Parker 9500-4' coupler block for the loader...

    Does tire grooving really work?

glad to hear you had success grooving your R1's! would you be able to post a picture when you have time? we understand that plowing just got a lot funner, and you may not have much time now :)

    Draw Bar Trailer Hitch

I had this welded up as I dont trust my welding quite enough for highway use! I can use my 2” receiver accessories, it’s comes off quickly and does not interfere with any 3pt hitch implements I use. I pull a 6x12 dump trailer with a full cord of firewood 5-8 miles fairly often. Using the 3pt...

    Nokian winter tires

I’ll take a look, thanks. However, i have R1’s. I’m not sure extra siping in the tread lugs would do much for traction on snow packed roads, but ya never know I guess!

    Nokian winter tires

I just got a price back, on the TRI 2 version. (Not siped). For a set of 4, about $6500cdn for just the rubber. That’s a lot of snow to plow to make that worth it! I can stay in my yard once the snow comes for that kind of coin, for the amount of work I’d be missing out on. Once the...

    Nokian winter tires

That***8217;s for the insight so far. Yes that link is what I***8217;m looking at. There is the NOKIAN TRI, which is the same as the NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA TRI without the extra siping. Being on pavement lots is not ideal for any tire I guess but the R1***8217;s are useless here in the winter...

    Nokian winter tires

Anyone running Nokian tires (tyres)?! There are 2 different tread patterns, one with extra siping for ice and one without. A friend has a similar tread on a pay loader and likes them. I have R1’s on my rig now but really don’t need the ag tire traction for my use. R4’s would likely do me ok...

    Snowblower chute defector

Nice work! I just added one to my blower too, and to only took one use to want to have a deflector!

    hydraulic disconnects

I suspect you’d need a 1/2” Pioneer type male fitting on the implement hose. ISO 5675. There are several styles of tips but that won’t matter much. If the hoses are not 1/2”, you’ll need to adapt them to 1/2” for the fitting. I doubt the tractor has another size than 1/2”....you’d think the...
