    Snow and Ice studs

I run up to 8 miles on pavement, one way, many times a day some days during the summer months, highway and town streets. Not sure how leaving studs in would go over for that work!

    Wood chipper

I can only speak from experience of having a belt driven flywheel chipper..... I’ve only had it jam and slip once and it was cause I was not paying attention while it was self feeding a log that most people would happily have made into firewood. 60hp will slip belts in a jam :) The beauty of an...

    Snow and Ice studs

Ive been considering these studs as well, albeit in R1’s all the way around. this was my thought as well.... fine the first year, likely fine in a new hole the second, but after a while will the tread be full of holes and want to wear that much faster?! On this M, a new set of winter rubber...

    Calling all Canadians.

Does HLA make something comparable? Lots of dealers across the country, made in Canada excellent quality

    Calling all Canadians.

I wish I had better than ‘I think’, but if it’s made in usa, then I think, you’d pay the GST/HST. Or, there are companies that deal with doing larger cross border purchases. Near me, guys will do a big purchase of building supplies from Menards, but it seems they have to hire an outfit to do...

    Cold Diesel Fuel?

If there is one I’ve yet to find it. we do get some 80-90° weather up here for a few days a year..... I put white PS additive in fuel all year. More for the lube for the HPFP in the VW. It’s at the local auto parts store, (other brands may not be). Cheap insurance and in the fall if winter...

Well... It’s Finally A COLD DAY IN HELL. !!!

Thanks for the reminder. I need to keep a small propane tank inside when it gets cold. It doesn't have a lot of pressure at -20. The big tank in the yard works fine, but the little disposable ones do not. I need to see how the MAP works, but I haven't let that get that cold Funny you...

Types and grade of hydraulic oil

Up here at least, one of the compatible oils to SUDT is about the same price and no easier to get.

Well... It’s Finally A COLD DAY IN HELL. !!!

This made my day start off on the right foot Geo, thanks!!! The daily high here today is climbing all the way up to about 5°f, I haven’t felt that warm in weeks! Weather Channel just had a story on that it takes the body about 10 days to get used to the cold. (I believe that). This was...

    m100x cant keep it running

Can you tarp the machine up and put heat to it with a ‘salamander’ type heater to eliminate the possibility of jelled fuel still in it somewhere? I always keep additive in the fuel just for these days... Not sure where you are, but our area had a bad batch of fuel at our local bulk station and...

    Battery Overcharging

^ Dave, we had this happen to an airplane one time.... in the bush... over a radio phone the mechanic walked an 18 year old through the troubleshooting to a loose diode. Propane stove, hot nail and a bit of plumbing solder seemed to fix it up and I believe it ran the rest of the year with that...

    M5-111 Error code headaches

There are deletes available. You may have to send your computer across a border. The delete and tune will save you fuel and if you want, increase HP all at the same time. I know my plan when non warranty repairs are required on the emmissions system. Downtime is expensive even if the repair...

    SUDT for Canada

The rumour is ‘Premium UDT’, the only Kubota oil in Canada is the same as SUDT in the US. It stays liquid at -30°c, this I can confirm. There’s a Petro Canada oil that’s basically the same too, it meets the Kubota spec, it smells and looks the same too, but is no difference in price.

    Help with Snowpusher selection

Hello, nice set up you have! I’ve been trying to justify that same pusher :) Do you have the box ‘curled’ down at all, maybe it’s too much ‘angle of attack’ of the cutting edge but in float you’d think it would just ride up. I don’t use float with the bucket while plowing snow tho..... Are...

    New Dump Trailer!

I have 2 2x10’s. Makes the sides about 3’ high, I figure ~180cu/ft of loose 16” split wood to make a stacked cord. Depending on species a cord of green wood is around 4000# give or take. Ish. I was thinking about air bags but that looks like a good option!

    New Dump Trailer!

Enjoy your trailer!! I pull mine with the tractor more than the truck. I use the 7pin for lights but watch out as you may blow the fuse for the 12v charging which on my M is lights..... I also made up a disconnect on the hyd lines near the pump to disconnect the pump and use the tractor...

    Ordered this today.

The chipper comes in a big box. It’s bolted to a steel pallet that’s got an angle iron frame box around it. Watch their U tube videos if you haven’t already :). It only takes an hour or 2 to get it ready to hook up to the 3pt to move, no special tools so in theory you could do it on the side...

    Ordered this today.

I believe Woodland Mills stuff is made in China, but it’s designed in Canada. I have the next size up, WC-88. It’s been a great well built piece so far.
