PLEASE HELP: M7060 Losing power ~15 min into bushogging.

There may be a 'service bulliten' out for faulty injectors..... theres a few threads on the TBN fourms about it on this model. There was a serial number range affected, people having similar issues. Have you had recent, normal DPF regens? I think theres a way to force one if youve inturrepted...

    Hydro fluid change

I found a rubbermaid container big enough. It fit under the machine too. Then use a pump to put it into buckets till the rubbermaid is light enough to pick up and tip, and spill etc!

    Hydraulic Fluid Specs

Ive had my 7060 a few years now, and find that dipstick is hard to read, and the slightest bit of unlevel ground causes bad readings. I dye the oil. Ive also noticed theres a 'happy level' spot, which is almost at the low line. If its full, itll blow out the vent while on the road at full speed.

M7040 Slower than normal in higher gears

Is it possible its not actually in those specific gears you think its in? I find the rubber boot that covers the shift lever/input shaft gets real stuff in the cold, and its easy to think youre in 7th, but could still be in 5th? (Assuming 7040 is similar to 7060)

    Grapple questions

Showmedata, I have a single arm grapple on forks, from HLA. Im grabbing 8' logs from a pile most of the time. Most logs are smaller in diameter. I added a 3rd fork tine to keep uneven logs from falling through and to help the forks go under the same log in the pile. I really wanted a...

    BX24 ran out of oil!

I dont think theres enough good info here to draw a good idea on what may have happened..... but, checking the oil should also include the thought that not only are you checking for oil, but also checking for 'too much' oil from a coolant, or fuel leak into the engine and you should do it at...

    frozen hydraulics

A logger friend will start his equipment, then bungee cord a lever over so the function goes over relief a little bit, he claims that'll warm the oil up faster! These guys work no matter the temps so they can eat.

    frozen hydraulics

Get a tarp, and a big heater. Preheat it for several hours. If it still does not work right after a warm up period idling, yu have other issues. Hopefully its just the cold, thick oil. The hydraulic shuttle on the 7060 is slow at those temps to engage too, even with our canadian 'premium...

    Air compressor

Well i finally finished plumbing some air lines. I had 1" black pipe on hand so thats what I used. I have one 1/2" coupler and a 1/2" hose for my little sand blaster, it wont starve for air! The reel has a small water seperator on it as well, so this should be pretty dry air. Certinally...

    Lifepo4 (lithium) batteries in B6100

Neat! If you decide to run a lithium on the tractor, whats the plan to charge it? Will the alternator will be 'good enough'? I put a big lithium on my camper...... its a 150ah, with a capacitor pack built in, it has a claimed cca of 1400! I have a dc-dc charger to charge off the truck/car.

    Fuel tank repair

If theres an airport near you with a shop, theres a product called PRC.... im not sure exactly what it is, but i know itll glue about anything together. The expired stuff seems to find its way home, great for gluing workboots back together. Its used to seal leaky fuel tanks (loose rivets)...

RV Anti-Freeze as Windshield Washer Fluid?

CAA? Transport Canada? I don't care what they think, i dont recall it saying anywhere it wasnt approved! No published holdover times obviously... When its -20, and your Beaver on floats is going to get frozen into the lake that day if you dont leave camp and head south, and there was FZDZ you...

Help with M 8560 joystick cable

RV Anti-Freeze as Windshield Washer Fluid?

Ive used RV antifreeze as airplane deice fluid in a pinch (a liquid broom per se). If i want good washer fluid, ill mix it up to 50/50 with methyl hydrate, or isopropyl. Dont seem to matter. MH i have on hand more readily sonthats what ive used mostly. Ive only had one seal in one washer tank...

    Air compressor

I spent some time trying to clean the baked on body shop dust off, and it came out not bad. I thought about putting it up high, but thats a project nitself. Got it wired up to the panel, but have a switch on the pressure switch line by the man door to shut it off when not here. So a company...

My extra front work lights are powered on the same 15a circuit(as the existing front work lights) The extra switch is mounted here beside the PTO switch. Theres no fancy plug on the external wires, someone used bullet connectors ( Yes i added those extra flashers)

    M6060 Block Heater Location

Thats where it is on the 7060. I got the block heater from Kubota. I dont remember it being expensive. It looks like 1" to me.

    Air compressor

I didn't fill it with water. I went for broke with air. I wanted to know if the pump was even any good. It made 175 psi. The tank held. Having it professionally tested is a minmum 400 mile one way trip to the nearest city. If they even do that in that city.....(waiting on call back on...

    Adjust 3-Point Hitch lift Height?

I remember measuring the height of the lift arms off the floor some time ago for someone else...... 18" all the way up rings a bell..... of your top link is on the longer side, it could make the blade hang low too? Others have mentioned the feedback rod adjustment, where the draft control is...

    Air compressor

Well, i borrowed a scope, and took a peek inside the tank. It looked exactly what youd expect an old tank to look like. But i wouldnt say it looked like it was full of holes. So i moved it outside, rigged up a presure gauge on a hose to have in with me while i stood away from the door by the...
