    New decking on my trailer

It’s always satisfying to repair/ rebuild your own equipment. It gives me a little more appreciation of how things were made in the first place.

Diesel vs Propane Home Backup Generator

First thing installed when we moved to the Ranch perminantly. An 11KW on propane fits all our needs. One thing about power outages, they don’t happen on a sunny afternoon, it’s usually at 3:30AM during an ice storm or wind storm. The Genny is seamless, auto on and off. Money well spent

B2601 LX2610 Maintenance items and filters SOLD

Sent you a PM, but after checking, they are not the same filter numbers. This will be a good deal for someone that uses the same filters.

BX saves time and my back

I have a 1,450’ graded gravel driveway to the pavement. I pulled the land plane and spread fresh gravel yesterday, and the roadway is perfect again. Little but mighty BX

I found the perfect tractor, but it has 10,000 to 12,000 hours

That is a lot of hours. So IF it has been meticulously maintained, everything by the book, where is the point of parts being worn out. Granted they last much longer when being maintained, but what is rebuilding of replacement costs? I don’t think I would purchase a beautiful, perfectly...

    Should I get this repaired?

Much better to have grease in there, than look like a gritty powered donut, grinding gravel, dirt, and gunk into the joint. Preventative maintenance, is just that. It keeps parts and machinery looking and working as they were designed to.

BX saves time and my back

I looked at larger tractors, but I needed the smaller size of the BX on my property. It may take a little longer to move a huge pile, or dig out a stump, but it fits down all my trails thru the woods, under the pine forest canopy, and gets up close and personal, near buildings. It’s not just a...

What to do with old trailer metal

Not wanting to Buffalo in on the thread below about parting out old trailers, I knew a gentleman who was removing a Mobil trailer, and going stick built on their property. I acquired the I beam frame rails, and repurposed them as cross supports for my garden tractor/ range cover. The BX could...

    Buying First Compact Tractor

If you could find what you need anywhere near local, I would purchase new. I have found that people like to do all their own maintenance. That’s good and it’s bad! I know I waaaaay over maintain my vehicles of every type. I have a couple friends that won’t touch their tractor, truck etc till...

    Grapple advice

    Build Land Plane

Do you get potholes on your road? the weight of a large land plane, helps to evenly cut and redistribute the road gravel and fill any low spots, while taking down high spots.

Why are Kioti tractors so much cheaper ... and only six weeks out?

Most folks I know here own Kubota. One buddy bought a koiti as he got more tractor fir his money. It is 2X larger than my BX25D. After 5 weeks of clearing brush and trees on his new property, he noticed the tractor sits funny. The frame is twisted! It’s been half a year, and his dealer still...

    3rd Function advice

I have the land pride 3rd function set up. My local Kubota dealer offered it to me at a little under what I had seen for pricing, and free installation. It has worked great for 4 years now. I think I use the grapple more than any other implement.

    Flushing out fuel tank

I was just thinking how it would kill me to lay on my back trying to change hoses. That lift was 2K well spent. Fortunately I have a buddy that knows how to adjust the cables, or I may still have been trying to build and adjust It. This Yamaha is an 04, with 207 hours and 1080 miles. Just...

    Flushing out fuel tank

I wish I didn’t read that comment. I picked up a Yamaha Rhino last time I was down in Kalifornia. The battery died, and the people went out and just bought a new Polaris. It wasn’t in great shape, and had sat for possibly 3 years. The fuel was disgusting. New carb, all new lines, added a burp...

Pay no attention to this post

When my nephew moved his family to Idaho from kalifornia, they wanted stupid money to leave the moving can here. He drove it back, then drove his truck up, and saved a ton. I told him we should offer to drive a few down, and all come back in the pickup, maybe they will pay us!
