    Trailering w F150

I have towed a toy box trailer, fully loaded, approx 7,000 pounds with my F150 many times over the continental divide, and on many paved and gravel roads thru the mountains. At least 5K miles towing this. I have a 2011 F150 w/ a 5.0 engine. The key to towing is not just driving safely...

What’s the HP of that little 7200? the mount looks sturdy enough, just wonder how it’s going to handle deep wet snow.

    Hydraulic Line Connection Problem

I don’t think I’ve seen anything about the tractor needs to be not running! Then as stated work the lever in all directions, if you have a 3rd function, release both buttons as well.

How do you store your loader when off the tractor?

With the loader on the concrete in the shop, I measured the base, and cut a piece of plywood slightly larger. Placing two of the larger dollys under it with supporting 2x6’s, screwed it all together. It’s only about 4” off the ground, so it’s just about like putting it on the ground. Only...

How do you store your loader when off the tractor?

I roll my loader and arms around ( in doors) on 2 HF dollys, with a couple 2x6”s and plywood on it. I wouldn’t just tarp it. It would be smart to store under cover, out of the weather if possible. Before I would just tarp it on the ground, how about a quick lean to to put it under, and on blocks...

questions regarding the purchase of a used BX25D

I bought that exact tractor new in 2014 for less than that price. It didn’t come with a SSQA, but an option is a Kubota QD front pin on bucket. Pull 2 pins, set the bucket down, roll up to the grapple put the pins in, ( and plug in two hoses) drive away. That’s a good option. The only...

    bx25d vs b7500

All dug with the BX backhoe, plus so many more. Once you get good, you will be amazed how productive it is.

    bx25d vs b7500

I have used my BX25D backhoe to build quite a few buildings, plus lots of trenching. It’s a smaller bucket, than a mini excavator, so it takes a little longer. Definitely worth the money spent on it.

Help me decide between two sheds!

i got a load of 2x10 farm lumber and built shelving above the main 2x12 leaning shelf. It’sa little like a pool hall, with a wrap around the outside bar top to keep your items off the pool tables.

Help me decide between two sheds!

Whatever you build, if you do not make shelves to the floor, only from bar top height up, it will keep the floor totally open, and uncluttered. I put metal 42” up from the floor, then installed a 2x12 all around the inside, and a few thin shelves up from the 42” mark. Nothing gets underfoot.

Help me decide between two sheds!

My 72’x24’ was too small and had to add a 48’x16’ lean too along one side. go longer! The 20’ can store your tractor with implements attached. Is there a reason beside getting a permit, that you can’t go bigger? A 20x24 is the size of a standard residential garage, and you could make it...

    Steering linkage boot replacement

There’s always someone that makes an upgraded part for one you need. I’ve had these boots for years, as a just in case. If I didn’t get a large branch between the axle and steering linkage, the stock one would still be fine. If I ever use the last one, I’ll just order another pair to put...

    Steering linkage boot replacement

I agree the clip, or snap ring, is crazy hard to attempt to reinstall. They hold great from the factory, but trying to re-install them just “ain’t gonna happen!” I ended up using tie wraps. I put the snap rings In The parts zip lock bag with the spare boot. If I use the other spare boot...

    Bx2380 grapple question

Depending on what you have on the loader frame in the way of a QD set up, Adding a 3rd function and grapple set up, you will be in business. When I bought mine, I contacted my local dealer. They had the parts in stock, offered it to me $100. Off and free installation. I use the grapple more...

Gun Handling, What Am I Missing?

Here’s a comparison from the DOT standards and is on EVERY commercial DMV test I’ve taken over 40 years. it asks, “who is responsible for the load on your truck” the answer is always YOU as the end user. No matter what someone else does and says, YOU must be responsible as the last one in line...

    Steering linkage boot replacement

I know it’s been covered many times, and it’s a simple process. But…. It’s one of those things that may get ignored for a time, as it is a minor repair. Just like changing fluids if greasing zincs, if it’s done on a regular basis, it may help make everything else last longer as well. It took...

    Winter Prep

Fresh oil is always a good thing, but I would find a way to fire it up and let it run for a few minutes a couple times a month. I do that with all my ( unused yard ) equipment during the winter months.

    Seafoam

I know many areas do not offer Ethanol free gasoline. It is widely available here, and I use it in all my yard power tools. We get winter treated diesel as well. I still like to use fuel additives, so before I unload fuel cans out of my truck, both gas and diesel gets treated. I have not had a...

    How far South?

I used to purchase a car, boat, RV, or off road toy every other year, when I went to visit my mom in So Cal. I’ve found along with being rust free, a lot of vehicles in town, do not have a lot of use on them. Low miles, low hours, etc. Mostly just new tires, due to age not being wore...
