Piranha Tooth Bar

Agreed Kevin, the Piranha works great, even in this hard rocky surface they call soil in N. Idaho. You just doubled your digging ability

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

cant believe how long it takes to get everything done, but I finally started moving cabinets and tool boxes in, as the paint has finally dried. I figure about a week of moving boxes and sorting thru all the stuff I stacked up when we moved. Good thing the weather report calls for a few days of...

    New BX25D owner

I don't know what kind of projects you have planned, but you will find the back hoe is an invaluable tool. I had a Case 580K at work, so my BX is a midget in comparison, but you can get your little BX in some remarkable places, it just takes a little longer. Remember all your power is at curl...

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

I put wood on the walls and ran a 2x4 at the ground and at 42" all the way around. I have a bunch of 8' metal cabinets and a few roll away tool boxes. I can use the 2x4 as bumpers and attachment points to hold everything in place, and screw them into the 2x4's. I also have a bunch of smaller...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

that is a neat piece of equipment, but its about $150. to ship on top of the $180. that's a one piece solution to what my neighbor has with the ridged harrow and chain link drags. I guess Ill start with whats next door, and see if is productive.

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

I wish it was that easy, the ground is a lot more uneven than it looks, but I broke a mandrel and destroyed both blades on my ride on mower trying just that last year. there's a field of golf balls to softballs out there. It's gonna take some machine raking and hand picking to make it safe for...

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

I've been at this since late November, but its starting to come together. started with a 48'x24' shop/pole building. its raised up on 18" of compact 3/4" gravel. so far only the back half is concrete inside. Added a 24'x24' carport to the front. Now working on framing, insulating and sheeting a...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

Snow plow off for the season, and trees all limbed up as high as needed. I hauled off 24 loads to burn. here's the ground I am dealing with. I'm actually surprised, there's some grasses growing under the pine needles now, but not very lush. There's MORE rocks than I originally thought too

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

That landscape rake looks awesome. I was at my neighbors place and he has an old harrow, that looks like its from the horse drawn days. He towed it behind his Grizzly 4x4 ATV, to knock down the high spots and scuff the surface, when he planted a lawn. its about 4' x 5', just metal angle iron...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

Pretty much what I'm working with. I spent a few hours with a small chain saw limbing up to about 6-7 feet, than cutting it into manageable size sections to fill the FEL and haul off to the big fire pit. 24 overfull loads to the slash pile, and a couple hours burning. ( my lower back is killing...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

I was just talking about just back dragging the really rough areas with the tooth bar. its a pretty good sized area, and with all the trees, would make it rough.

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

here's what the area looks like. lots of rock, I think the PO cleared the lawn area and placed extra rocks out here. The area near the shop is a little more open, Ill go out and fire up the chainsaw, and start limbing. The ground is pretty rough, so I made need something a...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

That looks great for what I need to do, but its something I will never use again, that's why I was trying to make something cheap and easy. I have a pretty good sized yard ( about an acre) and this is the area along side the shop, so there's power available for lights. I like the acreage all...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

I was thinking about taking some scrap 4x6's make a square, wrap it in chain link, and add weight as needed. Maybe build a box on top, and add rocks as I find them. We get about half sunlight thru the trees, and it moves through out the day. I'm not looking for a park like lawn, just want to...

    Let it snow!

Went to Costco for our bimonthly grocery shop, and they were out of those huge Idaho spuds! I'm going thru withdrawals. Only a few left, so I'm hoarding them till I get back to town the end of the week. They are a meal by themselves. A little butter, bacon crumbles and maybe a scoop of home made...

Need to make a drag, or buy a harrow

Ok, I'm not sure the best way to do this, but I have an area with quite a few trees, one every 12' or so, that's about 150' x 100'. I'm looking to limb the trees up to about 8' and plant grass seed and fence it off as a dog area. I need to clear the weeds, and remove a couple inches of pine...

    Let it snow!

I give up. I had to go to town yesterday (CDA) and it was in the 60's. I had to run the A/C the sun was so bright, and warm. So I guess the snow blade is coming off and the FEL is going back on. I kept waiting for that snow storm that never came. Weather report shows high 50's and 60's for ten...
