    Removing Stumps

Find someone with an excavator. I had a guy come in with a monster on tracks to remove about 70 huge trees, off my place in Alaska, all about 50-70' tall. He worked for two days removing trees, and pulling the stumps as he went. We cleared a circle drive way, and had 37 loads of gravel hauled in...

As if I didnt have enough going on......

I don't hit them as hard as you might think, when some of these pines grow they have really shallow roots that grow across the surface. They really bend, almost to the ground, which is why the Piranha helps. It really doesn't hit like a hammer, more like a grab and push to the ground, taking the...

As if I didnt have enough going on......

I find the easiest way to take out trees (if there small enough) is to raise the blade up to about 3', point the Piranha just slightly down off level, and from about 24" away in 4x4 low, ram it. The teeth hook into the tree, and really bite in, well like a piranha. these three, only about 6-7"...

As if I didnt have enough going on......

got the last 3 trees taken out. No more than two pushes with the Piranha on each tree, to pluck them out, roots and all. Sawed them up, then laid weed screen and about 15 buckets of gravel. Now there's way more room at the end of the driveway to turn around, and extra gravel to park on. The UPS...

Snow Blower vs Snow Blade with a gravel driveway

Once you attach the front blade on the quick connect, it can be removed in a couple minutes, and it's easy to do. I do not have a blower, just an adjustable front blade system. So far, haven't even used my stand alone 8 speed blower since I got the blade

    So heights don't bother you?

I'm not afraid of heights, I've worked aerial all my life, but that's a little too much

    Spring

The Robins have been out for a few weeks now, and except for one little snow flurry last week, it's been pretty warm for a month now. Not normal for N. Idaho, but I don't mind an early spring

As if I didnt have enough going on......

I decided to move a 10'x12' storage building, with a lean to attached to one side. The goal is to widen the driveway turn around in front of the shop by about 35'. Fortunately the PO hung the lean to with Simpson ties, although it was screwed, stapled and nailed with an assortment of misc pieces...

BX25D owners, and letter about loose nuts in seat!

I got the same letter and laughed at it. I use my backhoe a lot, and the seat has come loose on me before, actually falling off the pivot when I turned it to dig. I tightened it up, and when it came loose again, I replaced it with a nylock. I never saw the second jam nut, so I guess it fell off...

New BX25D Owner - Hydraulic Pump Noise

Mike, I have a new BX also, and although the hydraulic are fairly noisy, I have not heard a clicking or ticking noise. just for giggles check your fluid levels. I would call your salesman and have a talk with him/her about it, and address your concerns

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

I've got to admit, it sure was nice to pull my early Bronco inside,to work on with plenty of room ( even with the Kubota and lawn tractor inside) when I was done and ready to quit for the evening, just shut the door and leave it for tomorrow.

    BX quick disconnect FEL bucket

That looks like a direct bolt up attachment part. It would be nice if it was a simple installation, and relatively cheap.

    BX quick disconnect FEL bucket

Does anyone have any experience with a QD kit for the loader bucket, to leave the arms attached for other implements? I want to start looking at options for getting a light weight front grapple for picking up brush and branches. I have the quick attach frame mount hydro kit for the snow blade...

    BX25 Quick Hitch on a BX23?

I picked up a set of light duty pallet forks from a local welder here for under $200. with shipping. they are heavier than anything my little BX can lift. I considered making a set, but it was about the same to just purchase them. and they fit over the Piranha tooth bar.

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

come on out its only about 2K miles! I can only dream of just playing at this time. Every time I get something accomplished, I check it off my list and add three more items to complete. I did take 15 minutes, stop for a cup of coffee, and tried a few loads at the 50 range for accuracy. Then back...

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

That's the oldest Dillon known to exist, an original DL450B from the early 80's? I don't even remember its been so long. I did up grade the frame about 15 years ago to take the 550 Quick change tool heads. Like a Kubota tractor, a Dillon is another reason you will never regret buying Quality...

Kubota barn and tool room, a work in progress

well with a couple rainy days, I was able to move about 300 boxes and 5 tons of tools and equipment. I have a ton of room to work now, although it will take months to find everything still. but its starting to feel like a workable shop now

    Why should I buy BX25D?

when I started looking, I first went to green. All my uncles farm and ranch equipment was green. I learned to drive green ( and a cat crawler) It looks like you have done your research and know what size and models to compare, so go play with them. I only really looked at two Deere and Kubota...

Working on Setting up My Garage....

You still have room to walk, its not that full! Don't get talked into a second story, or all the extra house stuff will go up stairs and you will literally get buried.
