Adding 3rd function valve to FEL and BH

I think once you get a Grapple, you may not want to bother with a hydraulic thumb on the BH. The Grapple on my little BX is so strong, and so much easier and faster to work with, there's no use going to s much smaller hoe thumb. Unless you are placing heavy rocks for a living, the Grapple is awesome

Anybody still use a wheel burrow

Yup, once the Kubota parked in the shop, the wheelbarrow just sits in the wood shed as an off the ground kindling holder. It works great for that, and I think my front tire is probably low too, but it's not going to have to move.

    Let it snow!

It shows 0 tonight with a high of 14 tomorrow, but it will be clear and sunny!

    Going orange

Grumpy, don't know where your located, or how hilly your property is, but I highly recommend a set of Rear wheel spacers, a Piranha blade for the FEL, and a Skid plate to protect your underbelly. Lots more goodies, but that's the 3 fairly inexpensive items I would start with

    Let it snow!

It takes a few hours to do the driveway and private road off the main road. Fortunately I moved an out building back 35', took out 3 more big trees, and made a big turnaround area between the house and shop, unfortunately now I have twice the area to clear up by the house! Nice and powdery, so...

    Let it snow!

I have the engine block heater plugged in already, on the Kubota. We have about 6" of fresh powder to clean up. It's been cold enough, so it's still easy to push.

    blower/blade usage

With the angle adjust on the blade, a larger curved blade isn't really needed, it's quick and easy to angle up to almost 45 degrees for snow deflection. When I plow, it rolls to the top and off the side real easy. I think a larger more curved blade might slow down a light tractor like a BX too...

    Kubota Insurance

If you have a loan, you must have insurance. Compare the policy's. I had Kubota insurance on mine the first two years I owned it, paid off the tractor so I wouldn't have a payment, and dropped the insurance. K was priced the same as my homeowners.

    blower/blade usage

I wish I had a snowblower to see the difference, but I have the hydro blade for my BX, and it works great. On the 3/8 mile gravel driveway, I set the RPM To 3000 and go high 4x4 starting in the middle than going out with the blade angled till I've pushed the road clear to the ditches...

Made a Front End Loader dolly.

If anyone is in need of any of the larger movers Dolly's for parts and implements on, here's the new sale coupon. I just have the picture on my phone. They can scan it at the register or manually input the sale tag number

    Paint match type

Guess I could have phrased that better. If you need more than a quart or two, it's cost savings to purchase a gallon. Prices locally are $3.99 an aerosol can, $9.99 a quart, and $26.99 for a gallon. The hardner comes in individually to mix with quarts. Prep is everything by the way. If you can...

    Paint match type

North 40 carries a paint in aerosol, gallons or quarts. It's called Van Sickle, and I paint my implements each season when I take them off for storage. Here's an example before and after. One aerosol can will do the FEL, hoe or snow blade. It does take 24 hours to dry to the touch, but it's...

Wife stopped by local Kubota dealer today

Wow, I got two camo Kubota caps, but they cost $10K each! Fortunately they had a get a tractor and a pile of implements free offer with purchase.

More of a man than I am!

Obviously this guy has a great sense of humor. I am shocked he let you get a photo though. He actually rides down the trail along the side of the road, waving at cars and trucks going by, just to get a smile out of them. At 6'1, 245, and half my age,( heavy equipment operator) no ones gonna...

My neighbor came by in his snowmobile suit, to thank me for plowing his driveway all week..... yup, more of a man than me to wear that!

    Am I crazy?

You would be amazed what you can do with a little BX. I use the heck out of my backhoe, and have planted dozens of trees and put many posts, poles and beams in the ground with the mini hoe. It will take a little longer, but there's a reason they sell so many of them...... they just flat work

    Firewood....

Here's my firewood for the next few years. I got a semi full of mostly birch and some red fir, delivered and stacked. I can start cutting in the spring. I'll use the Grapple, pick up one 28' log at a time, and hold it in front of the wood shed, so they fall where they need to be stacked. Much...

    Firewood....

It's so nice being able to come in and hang around the fireplace. I might be a bit of a pyro, but it's just so cozy warm. Nice to be able to load with a forklift
