Is there anything to tune up?

I really notice a huge difference between blowing light fluffy snow and a heavier wetter variety. This year we had lots of heavy snow. I use low gears so I don’t push my little BX too hard. Try going about 20% slower, see how much of a different it makes

    PTO/Snowblower

Is your blower clogged with snow? Possibly try clearing the rear chute, and check for blockages? If it jammed maybe it won’t want to reengage?

    Howdy.,

The front quick hitch sits SO LOW to the ground, to keep the blower or blade at the correct angles, I would think it would get hung up on everything. Don’t know if it’s worth leaving it. Also if you leave the driveshaft in place, you must remove any aftermarket skid plate. If you make...

What kind of chainsaw you have?

The Stihl MS261 C-M ( I got a 20***8221; bar)has no choke, no primer bulb. Click it on, pull to start, it has a memory chip that regulates choke and quality of fuel used for maximum performance. MUCH lighter than a standard chain saw, and it***8217;s a pro model, that throws chips like no saw...

    Replace BX 25 Seat

I was at the Kubota dealer a couple weeks ago and was climbing on a new 80. ( Bx25d replacement) that seat seemed to have more padding than my 3 year old BX25D seat...... or maybe my old seat is just loosing some.

Rebuilding Kubota towing trailers and car haulers

I forgot how much I use that little trailer! It***8217;s great for mid sized toys, and Kubotas And yes, Tractor porn is a wonderful thing! I love checking out everyone***8217;s ideas and projects, and possibly incorporating some of it into my projects. It keeps my mind occupied as I sit in the...

Any Polaris General owners in K land?

There is definitely not a “selection” of Generals anywhere around me. I will probably travel to a large Polaris dealer in the big cities to at least look at some options. What do you guys think of a REAL glass ( safety glass) windshield over a Lexan windshield. I’m worried with a wiper kit...

Rebuilding Kubota towing trailers and car haulers

Not a problem, bring it out in spring. We can cut off the welded on tab, stain a pile of new wood, blast it and shoot some paint on it out in my wood lot, repack all the bearings, reinstall the new wood and touch up the welds. I converted them both to LED lights, so there super bright at night...

Rebuilding Kubota towing trailers and car haulers

Lots of talk about building trailers, axles, brakes, etc. with a little time and a stack of metal and wood, you can turn a $400. Beater into a nice looking, great towing usable trailer. I cleaned this up and added the removable sides for a buddy. I was pushing for Kubota Orange, but his wife...

Any Polaris General owners in K land?

Once it’s registered, ($10.) you can drive on any road except the interstate here. I regularly see family’s going to breakfast, drive to the store, gas station, etc in their SxS’s. That’s why I like the windshield and hardtop idea

Any Polaris General owners in K land?

I am very interested in the video, information is always a good thing. Thank you. Do you drive any pavement? I know I would have to also get a set of DOT tires mounted to drive to town and to a lot of the trail heads. My older 800 was pretty fast? I agree the newer 1000 EFI’s have got to be...

    Landscape Rake

I borrowed my neighbors huge Stihl backpack blower to blow the pine needles out of my driveway and parking area. I was truly amazed how efficient it was. Cleared a couple inches deep of pine needles instantly. I will second the go big or go home comment from above

Dual axle trailer brakes question. Do I need trailer brakes?

It should be prewired. I had a 2000 SD van in the past and it has the plug under the dash. I picked up a digital brake controller, and the “patch cord” for Ford’s was only an additional $14.95.

Any Polaris General owners in K land?

I am really impressed with the suspension and travel the general has. I know any NEW side by side is miles ahead of the older rigs I have gotten used to. I also like the solid doors, and availability of hard top, windshield etc to seal it up and use all winter. I also still like quads, but for...

Any Polaris General owners in K land?

I don’t want to hijack the current thread on side by sides. I am looking at the General 1000 EPS Premium. It’s half work horse and half fun toy. Still has good capacities, Tow hitch and dump bed, but I want to drive to town and all around, so pavement comfort, along with hard top, doors, heater...
