    F150 Questions

I’ve had Fords forever, and my F150 SC is just about like yours, but a few years old now, with the 6 speed trans. I like the 5.0 better than the turbo 6, it has more grunt down low, and is much simpler than the twin turbo, that only has 10HP more?-ish but that’s at a much higher RPM. One...

    BX25D Trailer Advice

I carry my BX25D on a 16’ dual axle utility trailer. It will certainly fit on a 14’ trailer, but what you may want to consider is the backhoe arm sticks out quite a bit, and I like keeping mine above the trailer ( with a strap while towing) instead of slightly off the back. For future use, a...

    Trailer for B2650

A 18’ or 20’ dual axel, with brakes on both, would handle the load nicely. Invest in a load stabilization hitch, and high quality tow ball, it will double your tow capacity. Also up grade the tires if it’s an option

Any ideas on how I can safely lift and install 18ft pole barn timbers?

. I’ve used my BX to move and plant many beams in the ground. Let me warn you it is really sketchy with the light weight of the BX and the leverage exerted at the end of a long beam. The 6”x12”x22’ beams on my entryway would have pushed the BX on its side. I moved them in place, had the help...

Anyone have a Low Profile Dump trailer?

You can order, or make a pair of long ramps for loading any tractor, or piece of equipment in a trailer. You can easily create any departure angle you need to load and unload. When I get my dump trailer, I will just make a set of 6’ ramps out of 2” angle iron

    L2900 Lost key....lots of snow...

I’ve only taken the key out of mine a couple times. If the tractors on the trailer, and I might have to stop somewhere for fuel or whatever, I don’t want anyone monkeying with the key. Otherwise, the key never comes out.

Bionic Blade Land Plane Before & After

A land plane is a valuable tool. They never come up for sale around here, I borrowed one and copied it. A couple days cutting and welding, and a little Kubota Orange paint. They sure do a job on keeping the roads and trails flat, level and the gravel nicely placed

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

The Grapple is the most used front end piece of equipment. They do work well together. I have a place for my orange chainsaw, Grapple the branches, dig the stumps, move to the next one.

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

I find I use my backhoe on my BX25D more than any other implement, (except maybe the snow blower this winter!) great for planting trees, when I need to put in two posts, it’s easier than hooking up the post hole digger. I’ve used it to put up many buildings, using the thumb to move logs and...

    First time buyer questions

I have great service from my Kubota dealer, and also deplorable service from them. At least they fixed the issues caused by their tech.( free of charge to me) that being said, I always search for information, and will freely admit I do not know as much as I wish I did, but I will search to find...

    First time buyer questions

Condition and maintenance is everything. Does the original owner keep service records? Or have work orders from the dealer? Obviously check fluids, look for leaks etc. it might be $$ well spent to take it to a professional to have it looked at.

    crazy weather today!!

That’s a nice spring day! We have 8” of fresh snow since sunrise, and it will keep going till noon tomorrow. Projected 12”+ here, 36”+ on the mountain a few miles away. That’s what they make Kubotas and snow blowers for!

What do you miss about the old vintage tractors

THe tractors were definitely simpler, and easy to work on. That being said, newer vehicles don’t need parts replacement like old vehicles. Life expectancy is in the 70’s now compared to the last century where 45 was an old man. Maybe it was due to driving OLD tractors! Hahaha

    Cleaning ash from wood stove

I have a tiny wood stove, but it’s very efficient. I cut my wood 12”-14” as 16’s just wont fit. It has an ash box, that I empty twice a week. I usually let the fire go out every afternoon, so it’s start new every morning. I can get a couple little shovels out every morning, and I keep an ask...

    Daily Driver Mods?

I do a lot of long distance road trips for out of state hunts, and visits with family and friends. I will set up all my needs, drinks, snacks etc, easy to reach and accessible. I have a phone mount from ram that uses one of the cup holders for charging and hands free use. If you have a newer...
