    Creating a trailer parking pad

It’s so nice to have a dedicated place, out of the mud to park trailers, implements etc. looks great. I know here, as we get lots of snow during the winter, I try and make places under cover to park and store implements.

    Grapple Mount For Trailer

I’ve needed my Grapple helping out a few friends, but mostly needed the backhoe and loader bucket. That’s a nice set up to have the grapple mounted on the trailer, but it’s really easy to have the Grapple mounted on the tractor, and pick up my bucket in the Grapple and load the tractor as...

What color attachment would you chose

Gotta admit, any attachments I build or purchase get a nice coat of Kubota Orange, and I’ll even throw a Kubota sticker on it to make it look factory, even if it’s home made. Yeah, I even wash and wax my tractor.

First time loaded on my trailer

My motto is “over built is under rated” I carry a smaller tractor on a heavier double axle trailer with dual axle brakes. I also installed load range G, 14 ply all steel trailer tires and use an EZ Lift stabilizer hitch system. Also a 1 1/4” Shank tow ball for added strength. 4 10K ratchet...

Quick Question: Land Pride SCG0548 Grapple Connections

I have this Grapple on my tractor right now. I have the QD Fittings staggered on my tractor so the lines can never get crossed one male one female. when the implement is off, you can connect the hoses together

Better for gravel driveway maintenance, a Box Blade or Landscape Rake?

Here’s a picture of the waterfall effect you get while maintaining a gravel road. I have my blades at 5/8 inch so it cuts down, and displaces high spots and fills low spots and pot holes as you go. If you need more fill, just make another pass. It is especially nice right before a rain as the...

Better for gravel driveway maintenance, a Box Blade or Landscape Rake?

A land plane is much better for maintaining your driveway. I pull this behind my BX, and it keeps a 1400 foot driveway in perfect condition. It takes a cut off the top, rolls it over the blades, fills any low spots, and leaves the road level and smooth.

Bx23s wheel spacers and grapple questions

I’m glad you were able to understand what I meant, trying to describe how I clean up ground fuel. I do not dig with the extended tines, just rake, fairly lightly, and rarely disrupt the grass or soil underneath. We have heavy pine Forrest’s here, many inches of pine needles and cones, plus...

Bx23s wheel spacers and grapple questions

I don’t usually record while working on the tractor so I don’t have pictures, but you can extend the upper tines, like using you fingers on your hand, as a rake. In areas that are heavily forested, with 6” of sticks, branches, pine needles, small trees, all laying on the Forrest floor, I rake...

Bx23s wheel spacers and grapple questions

If you look outboard of the pistons for the jaws in the Grapple you can see the two hooks for attaching to SQQA. The other picture shows a 20’ tree, that was dead standing, going to the brush burn pile.instead of chainsawing it into 3 or 4 pieces then grappling it up, you can grab it by the...

Bx23s wheel spacers and grapple questions

My BX is a 2014, and the bucket and Grapple use the Kubota Front quick hitch, which is just as simple to use as the SQQA but very light. Pull two pins, remove.... drive up to new attachment pin in two pins. Less than a minute to quick change. My Grapple does have two levers, which appears to be...

Bx23s wheel spacers and grapple questions

I am running 2” rear only wheel spacers none in the front. The added stability, even on flat ground is absolutely phenomenal . If you have brush to clear, trees or logs to move, the Grapple is the implement I use mostly on my BX. Even more than the bucket loader. I have the land pride unit, and...

Fencing out the Deer and Coyotes

Well between clearing the excessive brush, putting up the fence line, and a few well placed motion detection LED spot lights, I can track the deer where they came to the fence line, turned around went back to the old game trail and continued on thru. No new trees were eaten. I’m not trying...

Fencing out the Deer and Coyotes

This year we are really having a deer problem. They are eating all the new trees, and colorful plantings. So started a fence line from the front gate, running about 75 feet off, along the North, to the N side of the shop, about 550 feet away. Theres a natural game trail north of where the new...

How many BX owners are there?

I am a BX owner, although I learned to drive on many green full sized tractors, caterpillar D2 & D6, even old cable rigs. The BX is the only tractor that fits thru the trees here. I was looking specifically for a SCUT. The implements with the BX are perfect for my acerage and the small tractor...

    Barn/shop

Always go bigger than you “think” you need. Much bigger. It is also nice to have extra partially open space, like lean to’s to park trailers, equipment etc under to keep out of the weather. Snow, sun and rain degrade everything. Think about door height, you may need a 12’ tall door for a...

    Car Hoist

Trailer loaded at the warehouse, I ran out to the coast, picked it up and home in half a day. Saved many hundreds on shipping and tax.

    Car Hoist

I will never have a shop without a lift again. From simple maintenance to complex rebuilds, it’s much better than working on the floor! I ended up with the Atlas 11,000 pound lift. A little wider and taller than standard, but I would rather have more than I need than be just barely adequate...

Tire Goop for 4-wheeler tires - thoughts?

Alumaseal and antifreeze. Get a water bottle fill it halfway with antifreeze, pour in a tube of alumaseal, shake well. With the valve core out, and the stem at 6 o’clock, a small piece of fuel line and small funnel pour into your tire. It doesn’t attack rubber, the aluminum particles seal all...
