Ok, finally got the serial number for a l2250

If you send an inquiry to Kubota customer service through the Kubota website, they will usually respond with the date of manufacture, the date of sale, and the original selling dealer. A Kubota dealer can do the same thing. A "get it close" method is to compare the serial number to that of...

Question on clevis pin alternatives when attaching and removing the 3 point hitch.

How about drilling the hole out enough to fit the smallest size lynch pin? (I think that 3/16" is available) Lynch pins are used on a lot of three point attachments. As you know, they go on and off easily.

L3400 starts and dies within a second

This may be a long shot, but my tractor was doing something similar. It turned out to be a clogged fuel cap breather port that was preventing air from getting into the tank, which created a vacuum, preventing fuel flowing from the tank. As I say, a long shot. Good luck with your problem. I...

    Tractor age

didn't finish that.................... tractors for sale sites that give serial numbers, and age. That can get you close because the numbers are sequential

    Tractor age

There are three ways to pin down the build and "first sold" date. There is no code to decipher. 1) e-mail Kubota customer care the serial number. They will usually respond with the build date, date of first sale, and the selling dealer 2) If you have a friendly dealer, ask them to look it up...

    Illustrated Parts Site

Thank you for the reply. I got to meet a friendly state trooper on 90 heading to Grand Island. Looked rural to me. I said that I would like to visit Johnstown. He said don't visit, just send in the $200.00. At least something of mine got to visit.:rolleyes: By the way, only bird...

    Illustrated Parts Site

By the way, unless something happened that I don't know about, RI is still part of the USA. Of course I sometimes wonder based on our state government.

Good answer. I posted just before your answer came in. I would not have bothered if I had read your post. You gave a very complete answer.

    Something just crossed my mind

Hey Skeets, Best not to engage the Diff lock with any of the wheels turning. I know that it would be nice to able to engage while you have some momentum, but you can apparently mess up the tranny and then you would have to split the tractor to make repairs YIKES!!

    Tram peddle

The loader lever has been an issue for some time. I sent a letter to Kubota regarding the issue, and their attitude amounted to " we will wait until someone hits the lever accidently while moving, flips the tractor and gets killed". The fallout from that possibility is less of a problem than...

Any suggestions for where to buy parts online?

In addition to the OEM parts available from dealers like Messick's ( I have had good luck Messick's) I recently bought a top link from an Ebay vendor. When it arrived, I compared it closely to the bent original part. I'll be darned if I can see a difference. Even the paint match was dead on...

Dashboard Reads = PTO Off - But it's running - Used Tractor inspection

Hello LarryBud Messick's has an excellent video on what to look for when considering a used tractor. Actually they have a lot of very informative videos. You probably know that the tractor serial number does not indicate age. The numbers are. sequential. A kindly dealer might run the number...

    B2650 ballast box

Lots of great ideas in these posts. If space behind the tractor is really an issue, this might be worth considering. The rear tires on my B2650 are filled (with beat juice). I have the 60" (light material) bucket. I just spread 20 tons of 3/4" stone along my gravel driveway with no additional...
