Any one know how to decipher the new 17 character Kubota serial number?

Hello Jay, You are certainly correct in what you are saying. I think that what we are curious about is the translation of the nomenclature preceding the production sequence number. Would you happen to have any information on that?

    VIN number

Do any of you have any information on a new 17 digit VIN that Kubota may be using? Another member posted asking for information. I couldn't find anything, and it has made me curious. He posted a picture of an ID tag with the following information. BX23S Equipment Identification number...

Any one know how to decipher the new 17 character Kubota serial number?

Well GSW911, You really have made me curious. I can't find any information anywhere on how to decode the number. It appears to be a 17 digit Vin, but it doesn't seem to follow standard vin nomenclature. . The last five would seem to be the production sequence. After that, I am at a loss. I hope...

Any one know how to decipher the new 17 character Kubota serial number?

Hello GSW911. I believe that the picture you supplied is a picture of a Canadian tractor. The abbreviation at the bottom of the label is " Canadian Interference Causing Equipment Standard" followed by the particular standard designation. I am sure that all those letters have a meaning. Perhaps...

Any one know how to decipher the new 17 character Kubota serial number?

Hello GSW911, I have always understood that Kubota serial numbers had no meaning. They were sequential, and Kubota merely used the next number in sequence. On the other hand, engines do have a code and you can look up an engine's production using the code. If this is a new system, would you...

Don't leave 4wd engaged all the time

Thank you for your very knowledgeable feedback. I guess we can agree that the Kubota jargon for front to back axle ratio is "gear ratio". I am also retired.............................................from a paying job that is, and there is still not enough time to do everything that I would like...

Don't leave 4wd engaged all the time

I di not mention a serial number. I have attached my inquiry. When I asked them what they considered as the correct lead, they answered with "acceptable tires"

Don't leave 4wd engaged all the time

Just for informational purposes, here is what I received from Kubota customer service when I asked about the front to rear axle RPM ratio. I believe that the ratio they refer to as "Gear Ratio" is the front to back axle RRM ratio. Would you agree? Thanks!

Don't leave 4wd engaged all the time

Hey rbargeron, A little help please. I just went into the Illustrated parts for my B2650 Hydrostatic. I can find the gears and the respective part numbers, but I can't find a reference to "tooth count". Where should I be looking?

Don't leave 4wd engaged all the time

Good advice! In four wheel drive, the front tires are "geared" to cover slightly more ground than the rears, so as to provide steerage on soft ground. . The front are "pulling" the rears just slightly. That is OK in mud or other slippery stuff. On pavement, with use, you get the result you show...

    Linkage Arm for MMM

I think that Lostboy's suggestion is the way to go. If that doesn't solve the problem, it might be time to check the factory specified "adjusted length" on the front bar. Good luck with it. I never like to hear about people having a problem with a new machine.

NEW LX 2610 has bolt missing from Trans?

My B2650 has two empty holes in the same area. From your pic, it looks like the one on the right is used for spacers and a bolt to support the seat mounting plate. I do not have that. Somewhere there is a post about this (at least referencing the same thing on a B2650). If I find it, I will let...
