    WoodMaxx 62" flail mower

Since we’re talking WoodMaxx flails, we may as well talk about how to mate them up to a Quick Hitch. They are not QH-ready, but it’s a super simple mod to make it so... Please see the photos and note that the slotted hole still functions as it should, allowing the flail to follow the ground...

Mine is not an H, but I wish it was now that I have rear remotes. I bought my flail used with what looked like about an hour of time on it. The blades were still shiny. It was just too much for the original purchaser. Worked well for me, and saved me close to a grand!

Mark, so sorry I missed this message! connecting the flail to my QH was super simple. I used a pair of leaf spring shackle plates and one extra pin. Let me describe, and I can text you a photo if needed. the plates are 3/8” x 2” flat bar. 6” long, with 3/4” holes 4.5” apart. min top of the...

    Hydraulic upper link

When I decided I wanted to do a top cylinder, I ordered right away due to the lead time. It wasn’t critical, so I was able to wait. During that time, I started figuring out how I wanted to do my rear remotes. When the cylinder finally arrived (inline with quoted lead time) I wasnallceeadynto...

    Dovetail or Flatbed Trailer?

I’ve got a slightly larger B2650 machine, but it’s not huge by any stretch. I had a PJ trailer built last year and could not be happier with it. 10,000# 20’ x 7’ flat deck. Though about dovetail, but I do use the trailer for other things. If I’m hauling hay, I don’t want a beaver tail back...

    60" vs 54" bucket for B2601?

I’ve got the 60” light material bucket on my B2650, which is identical in construction style to the available 54”, which is not labeled as “light material”. Like others have mentioned, I am of the understanding that the 60” model is labeled for light material because it would be easier to...

    Are all Quick hitches equal?

I just had them add a QH-10 when I bought my B2650 last year. Didn’t really know much about them as far as price range goes. I realize that I paid A LOT more that I may have if I’d done some more research, but I don’t know that I regret it... The Land Pride QH is really nice compared to some...

    Rotary Cutter Width

Whether it’s right or wrong, I’ve had great luck with my 62” flail, 58” tiller, 60” land plane grader, and borrowed 60” bush hog. All behind my little B2650. In heavy grass, I’ll mow pert near full tilt in Low Range. If the grass is less than a foot tall, it blows through it in Medium Range...

    WoodMaxx 62" flail mower

I have one, but non-hydraulic and with “Y” blades. I use it behind my B2650 and it’s fantastic! I mow my 2 acre field with it, and it never disappoints. I live in western Oregon, where the state tree should have been the Himalayan Blackberry. The flail with Y blades absolutely destroys the...

    Orange line trailers

The nice part about the Tekonsha P3 is it is very easy to set up. The instructions are good, and it is bullet proof after setup. Read the directions and follow them. You won’t be disappointed! Since it uses a decelerometer to determine how fast you’re trying to stop, you don’t get the...

    Orange line trailers

I tow my B2650 with extras on my 20’ PJ equipment trailer with my 2018 Tundra. I do have the factory brake controller, and it is a step down from the Tekonsha P-3 that I was used to. I’d recommend that controller and the factory fit pigtail so you can simply plug it in. My load is about...

    Flail for a B2601?

I’ve had good luck with my WoodMaxx 62” behind my B2650. I’ve mowed small branches and briars with no trouble, and a grass field that was ~24” tall. Had to slow down a bit in the tall grass, but we’re talking almost full speed in low gear. I have the “Y” blades on mine. I imagine your 2601...

Dual rear remotes on my B2650

That was the toughest part to figure out for me, as well. Also the hardest part of the install, simply due to my big hands in a small space. Doable, but bring your patience... And two beers.

Dual rear remotes on my B2650

You’ll find that the molded hose from the FEL valve is actually easy to cut a tee into. It’s also simply hel in with basic hose clamps, so you don’t need anything super special. To be clear, this hose is painted dark grey and comes out of the loader valve pointed to the right side of the...

Summit Hydraulics 3rd Function for BX

That’s the beauty of an open center system with power beyond. You can install as many valve sets as you’d like in series (daisy chain). PB from loader to inlet on rear remotes. PB from rear remotes to inlet on 3rd function. PB from 3rd function to inlet on 3-PH. As long as you route from one...

    Bought a grapple

That’s a mean looking grapple! Curious to hear how it works for you. You’ll like having a flail, as well as the extra weight back there. I have a LP root grapple on my B2650 and rarely leave the back of the tractor naked. There is no comparison in performance and stability when you put a...

    B26TLB or L3301HST

I’m not familiar with a B26, but I assume the backhoe should come off easy enough. I’ve got a friend with a B21 and he’s had his hoe off several times till he found an excavator with much more capability.

That would be a great piece of information to have! I appreciate your help.

    Summit 3rd function on LX2610

Would sure be sweet if there was a part number for that banjo fitting on the 3-pt inlet... others have had to modify pieces to get that fitting. Do you have anything that would help direct anyone that needs that piece?
