    Quotations To Live By.....

Some of these may already be posted, forgive me if they have been. Whether you think you can or think you cant, you're right-Henry Ford A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer-Bruce Lee If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it...

    Saving a leaning tree??

Great thanks wolf man, that's what I'll do. I have a wide ratchet strap not sure on the strength of it but I believe it's either 2" or 3" wide. I assume it will work, thanks again.

    Saving a leaning tree??

I haven't been posting much here lately but I'm on a roll today. Anyway my special lady friend has a row of 20-25ft tall cedar trees that are much needed for a wind break and soon will be needed for a bit of a sound barrier as well. There is a new highway about to opened a couple hundred feet...

    Average age of OTT users?

Well its been over a year, so I thought I would resurrect this thread since I've noticed a few new members in here lately. Sitting here thinking about it I guess if you have already posted your age there isn't a need to post again but then again I was 36 when I started this and I'm going to...

    Members Map?

I don't think this a bad idea, as he said, it could be voluntary. Its also been stated that most members have their location listed anyway. With that said, originally I had the name of the small town I live in as my location then changes it to Southern Illinois. If the members map were to go...

    Oil after 50hr break in

Oil threads can go on for days. But with mine I used the Kubota engine oil and filters at the 50hr and 300hr mark. Again, folks will debate changing the hydro fluid at 50hrs for days too. I went to my dealer at 50hrs to buy the hydro fluid and he informed me that all I needed to do was replace...

LED work light added on Kubota L3301

Not sure where he hooked his up but on my L3800 there is a plug in under the left rear fender. I believe in the fuse box its listed as "work light".

    50 hr service L3901hst

In the manual on my L3800 it says to replace the hydro filters only. Which is what my dealer suggested and what I did. I have recently replaced the hydro fluid at 300 hrs instead of 400 like the manual says, I had the money and time and went ahead and did it early. Even at 300 hrs I couldn't...

Chain, recovery strap, tool storage on FEL bracket.

I like this idea so much that I went home and measured mine. 4-5/16" diameter so a 4' piece of PVC pipe will fit in there just fine. They're 13" and 16" deep. Two caps cost me under $11 at Home Depot. Thanks for posting!!

Chain, recovery strap, tool storage on FEL bracket.

Great idea!! I was just looking into where to store my chain and what not. I'm doing this soon if the diameter on my is the same.

New Kubotas delivered with Super UDT-2 in front axle case?

Thank you for this well thought out informative response. I have started the 400 hr service on my L3800. I say started because the dealer only sold me 5 gallons of SUDT for my hydraulics, I questioned them a few times but they were sure that's all I needed, so its sitting there just over a...

    Grease gun question

I use a manual grease gun but have a couple Milwaukee drills that have the same battery. So I thought about getting one of their units at some point. A fella I know who is a heavy equipment operator loves the battery powered units. Ill probably wait until I see one on sale or find someone with...

Help Me Buy My First Kubota This Week

My yard is nothing fancy but I don't have any trouble with the weight, R4 tires. Not sure about the DPF on the newer models but my does not have it. Again I do not any experience with the position control vs 1/4", on my L3800 I put the 3pt control all the way down into "float" and it glides...

Help Me Buy My First Kubota This Week

I had a similar problem when I went to buy mine. I was set on buying used until I figured up that I would be spending the same amount with the interest or lack there of. Bought a new L3800 and haven't looked back, love it! Also, you might consider a finish mower for the back instead of the mid...

    l3010 4x4 mowing rpms

Lots of good advise. I run it right at the 540 mark on the tack. As Shawn mentioned slow down and watch the temp gauge. Made this mistake when I mowed for a friend who's property was way past due. She got a little hot but not hot enough to damage anything. Depending on the height of what I'm...

    Finish mowers

Just so happens on my way home yesterday I spotted a used finish mower for sale. Stopped to look and its a 7' king cutter. Looks used but not to bad. The guy had a big yard so I know he was using it to cut that. He was asking $500. Which isn't to bad. Guess I'm wondering if any of you have used...

    Finish mowers

I haven't posted in a while but still check the site often. Anyway, I bought a really used Caroni finish mower last year to use behind my L3800. I didnt give a whole lot for it as I wanted to see if this was the way for me to go without spending a lot of money. Well needless to say it is, I...
