    Is this a water well?

I understand they also unlock the doors at the church. Wild! 😄 Thanks everyone! I'll get a flashlight over there ASAP. It's off the drive a ways and well defended by briars and other bloodletting plants (I was removing a honey locust tree when I spotted it). So I need some psychological prep.

    Is this a water well?

Yeah it's 4" (I think) PVC. I looked down as far as I could using my phone light. Couldn't see the bottom. I have rural water next door and my meter and valve are in a rectangular box. That's probably what this is, just odd that it's so different. I'll take a flashlight down there tomorrow.

    Is this a water well?

I bought property next to our house lot and found this. Looks like it might be a well but it's close to the water meter for our property so maybe it's something related to that.

Didn't know your Orange lived near me did you!!

I've been searching and can't find anything similar to what's being described here. I would be interested to check it out if I could.

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

I'm relieved to report that the front axle is full of what appears to be clean oil. Thanks for the heads up!

Loading and hauling a BH77 Backhoe (without the tractor)

Sorry about that! I turned off notifications for this thread and didn't realize there was another question. I backed the tractor as far as I could onto the trailer and disconnected the backhoe. I left the tractor on the trailer to remove the subframe just for convenience of having it off the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Oh yes the bang bang hiss is familiar. I am filling in an old pond and used some broken up concrete as fill. I just HAD to climb up on that concrete to put a bucket of dirt where I wanted. 🙄

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yes it is. 😄 But as you can see I got to play in the mud before it happened. That was a seriously messy tire repair.

I found that piece of rebar I lost. 😑

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

Thanks for the link, that is informative! I'm not really inclined to mix them which is why I even mentioned it here. If someone happened to have proof that JD and Kubota rebranded the exact same stuff then I might consider it. But I'll probably just get myself to a Kubota dealer for some.

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

I've watched some of those videos. Interesting to watch for sure but I'm not sure what it proves. I can learn that the XXX filter has a steel whatever but I really don't have proof that it's better. Probably a safe assumption, but not really proof. I would think that comprehensive oil...

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

For what it's worth that's a real scenario at the moment.

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

While doing the service I noticed the coolant is at the bottom line. The only thing I have is John Deere Cool Gard. Will that be okay in my Kubota? Aaaaand....go! 😄

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

Oh don't I know it! I used to ride a motorcycle. Folks online could go on for days about fuel and oil. My very favorite post poking fun at that was: OP: "Should I be using traditional or synthetic oil in my xxx?" First reply: "yes"

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

Yes I agree. I wouldn't let it go beyond 2 years. I just got the 2501 a couple months ago so I'm not sure just how much I'll use it but it wouldn't surprise me if I put 100 per year or more. So that won't likely be an issue.

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

I wouldn't let it go that long. I expect to put the next 200 in a couple years max. I don't fully agree that OEM= better. WIX and Mobil1 are very reputable filter manufacturers and have no motivation to cause their customers engine problems. I would not use a no-name however. That is...

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

For what it's worth I did change the oil & filter and changed to synthetic oil. I will probably change it every 200 since that'll be pretty long intervals for me (time wise). I just find it odd that there's such a difference in the two sources. Side notes: Mobil 1 M1-204A subs for the OEM...

L2501 oil change at 200 or 400 hours?

I downloaded an electronic copy of the operators manual. It says to change the oil at 200 hours. I've done all of the service except the oil change when I noticed my paper manual says I don't have to change the oil until 400 hours. Have any of you noticed this discrepancy? I realize an extra...

Has anyone filled their tires with fluid and regretted it?

Here's a bit of unaskedfor data on it. If I assume it weighs 650 pounds (600 lbs of concrete plus steel parts), and that the center of mass is 32 inches behind the rear axle (my rough measurement) then it reduces the load on the front axle by 328 pounds and increased the load on the rear axle...
