B2150- oil shaft seal ( discontinued ) anyone find an alternative?

Exactly this, this is what we do for all our seals and bearings.

    PTO

I had a customer appear at the workshop a few weeks back saying his Husqvarna ride on mower wouldn’t start after he got off to empty the grass boxes, I quickly went round his house for a look as he lived locally and had taken my electrical tools as I suspected it to be a safety switch issue. I...

    2005 Kubota BX1500

Have you checked the main fuse? If that checks out ok I’d be looking at the ignition switch if nothing is happening when turning the key, remove and check for supply voltage and whether or not the switch is working as it should.

Intake blows white smoke, no start

Easiest thing to do if you don’t have anyone to help is set your phone up to video the crank pulley (front engine view) and crank the engine for a second, then watch the footage back and you’ll know exactly what direction of rotation the engine is turning when the starter is engaged.

Intake blows white smoke, no start

From the flywheel side it rotates CCW so from the front view (crank pulley) it will rotate CW. With regards to the description for the direction of the starter rotation it’s hard to know whether they mean from the front or rear view of the starter itself. Have you confirmed for a fact that the...

Intake blows white smoke, no start

Have you watched the direction of rotation when cranking? Are you certain the starter is rotating the engine in a CCW direction viewed from the very front? As has been said the direction of rotation viewed from the flywheel side is CCW so viewing from front of engine it will be CW. Rotate the...

    Mower blades

I just use the pyramid for balancing the blades after sharpening them in the workshop, works perfectly well and we do a lot.

    BX Wont crank

If you’re using the 12v constant feed from battery and the battery is good* *If you have applied power directly to the starter and it doesn’t crank then that’s more than likely the culprit, going on the basis that the starter has a good ground then it should always crank if its in good working...

    B2410D

Another update. I replaced the lift pump with a new one, he stuck the fresh fuel in and it’s now working a treat. He’s pleased he can get all his grass cut easily now so that’s a good result.

    B2410D

I put the replacement lift pump in yesterday evening and it was spurting fuel out as it should, tractor fired up quite the thing. He’s going to wait until the weather is slightly better before attempting to cut all his grass, when he does that we’ll know for sure whether the original problem is...

    B2410D

Update on this. I went on Thursday and drained the tank, I put some of the fuel in a clear jug and did the same with some fresh fuel and the difference visually was massive, I can’t confirm that it had water in it as I wasn’t getting the usual separation but it just looked crap in comparison...

B2150 won't crank, dash lights turn off when key is turned

As above but also check the connections, make sure they are all good as well. If the battery checks out and the connections are good then check the starter.

B2150 won't crank, dash lights turn off when key is turned

unless the starter has failed and there is a short within it. To rule this out I’d apply voltage directly to the starter to see whether or not that works, if it does then the problem is elsewhere, if the starter doesn’t work then it’s the starter that has failed.

    B2410D

I’m going to drain the tank tomorrow to check for water etc and supply the fuel separately to see if it runs fine or does the same. the injector nozzle was from a parts supplier so genuine item. The reconditioned pump is from a company over here in Scotland called JEM ENGINES who specialise in...

    B2410D

I’m now wondering if there is water in the fuel as it doesn’t have the fuel water separator bowl, to be honest i didn’t have that in my mind when i was looking but there wasn’t any obvious signs of water but i suppose i can’t rule that out, i had planned on supplying fuel separately from the...

    B2410D

Kubota B2410D fitted with a D1105 engine. Bear with me I’ll give as much info as possible so it will be a long post. Tractor is a friends. Complaint was he would be cutting his grass and it would start to lose power after a few minutes of use, it would never cut out but would lose power...

    L4701 starting problem

First thing to check is the glow plugs, make sure they are receiving voltage and if so are they receiving voltage for the correct amount of time, if they aren’t then check relays, fuses etc. If they are receiving voltage, test the glow plugs themselves, you can check the resistance value with...

    Will not start

As above check the switched 12v feed to the starter, also make sure the constant 12v feed is good and make sure the starter has a good ground.

Household Appliance Maintenance: Share Your Successes and Failures

Latest failure in the house was the cooker hood extractor fan. Capacitor had burnt out and after testing the motor it was showing that the neutral (com) had failed, after stripping it down I found the thermal fuse had failed. I bypassed this so I could test all the other windings and they are...
