    New lawn questions

You may want to kill the lawn so to minimize weeds coming back. Wait a week or so before you rip it up after treatment. I got a good lawn now 2 years after building the house. I used a "Contractors Mix", perennial ryegrass, 3 types of fescue. The ryegrass breaks up the soil and dies off allowing...

Diesel vs Propane Home Backup Generator

What are your opinions on propane vs diesel for home backup generators? We have a 500 gallon propane tank and could upgrade to 1000 gallons. Looking for ~14 kW. Seems that diesel engines use less (volume) of fuel and would be cheaper to operate. Not sure about the long term prospects for propane...

    Let'm die!

This local doctor, who is also a virologist, explains the current situation thoroughly. People taking the vaccine are getting sicker with COVID than the unvaccinated. The vaccinated people are spreading the virus. The doctor notes that a respiratory virus outbreak doesn't usually occur in the...

Cooling issue with my excavator, Kubota engine

If you have a pressure washer, clean the radiator tubes and fins. Careful with the pressure. I have used Prestone flush kits in the past to clean up the internal coolant passages of the radiator and block. https://prestone.com/product/prestone-radiator-flush-cleaner/ Is there hot air under load...

    Gas engine float level ?

I've had the same problem on my motorcycle. It is a Suzuki DRZ400. I bought a gas valve and mating hoses from NAPA and installed them. My theory is that the float bounces up and down when trailering. Since the motorcycle is not burning fuel, in my case, the cylinder filled up with gas and...

    Are you ready for Winter?

I don't have a blade on my tractor, but I do have the DR ProMax34 with a 42" grader blade attachment. We had over 20" of snow on the ground from various storms last winter. I have a 450' driveway, width varies from 12' to 50'. I can clean off the driveway in about 20 minutes. Zero turn...

    Let'm die!

Here is an example from my family. I had some symptoms: runny nose, scratchy throat, sinus pressure, less symptoms than a typical cold. Wife probably caught it from me. She had same symptoms plus a fever, loss of smell. She gets tested and is positive. Oldest son had same symptoms as wife except...

    Let'm die!

Dude, It's not about the virus. It's never about what they say it's about. Even at 80% or even 99.9% vaccination rate, they will never give up their control mandates and say it's all OK now.

    Let'm die!

" Never let a crisis go to waste": Rahm Emmanuel, Chief of Staff under Bill Clinton. It's not about the virus. It's not about the children. It's not about the poor. It's not about the oppressed. It's never about what they say it's about. It is about control.

    Let'm die!

It appears there are agitators here. This is just another way the current government is dividing the people. If we don't buy the government line, then we are the worst people in the world. Folks, don't fall for the delusions.

    Let'm die!

There are simple therapeutic medicines out there that deal with COVID well and lessens the symptoms. Other countries are using them. Nothing in mainstream media about this. The medicines are deemed OK by our government for their original purposes, but they are telling us that the medicines will...

    Wheel spacers and broken axles?

The bigger issue for the axle is fatigue failure. You are repetitively bending the axles back and forth around the circumference. Same type of stress as adding side force to a rotating drill bit or bending a wire back and forth many times. The father the distance between the tire mount and where...

    Not a good day.

What about backing the RH side of the blade into a hard stop, like a tree and slowly/carefully bending it back to into place? Seems like you would have nothing to lose.

    Bx 2230 overheating

What did the temp gauge indicate before the rad hose blew off? Could be as simple as the hose and/or clamp was mispositioned or not on tight enough. How many running hours? Maybe the hose was old and hard and needs replacement.
