I am thinking it is a dam about to burst as it only leaks when the engine is on so there is pressure behind it.

I purchased from a business. Here is a close-up image and you can see 3 small black holes in the paint where it leaks. I am not sure what is going on underneath but perhaps the paint was somehow sealing it in the past and Murphy struck!

I checked with Kubota. ~$3k to repair. This part has a 2 year warranty.

I'll talk to Kubota dealer in the AM. Today is a holiday in Canada/. Here is a close up of the leak area. It looks like something blunt may have hit the transmission case at the leak location. The paint looks a bit compressed.
