G5200 D600 Oil Filter Cross Reference

I recommend sticking with Kubota brand filters but if you are in a jam the list may help.

    I've been sicker ....

You are a lucky one. The effect of Covid ranges from no symptoms (asymptomatic) to death. It is a roll of the dice. These range of symptoms are the same whether you are vaccinated or not. Vaccinations help reduce hospitalization and death probability but all can still get it and re-transmit...

Get ready for the Grease Shortage

Globalization and supply chain drying up to blame. COVID affecting China and they also have new electrical grid supply issues.... they are a mess and so is North American as our leaders sold out to China in the 90's, 2000's, 2010's . Moving manufacturing to a country with low labour costs and...

    Installing wheel spacers

Use blue loctite on the threads fastening the spacer to the hub.... may not be needed but a best practice.

    Grey smoke

Sand the surface of the housing and the nut faces and clean both with alcohol or brake fluid to de-risk adhesion failures

From tests conducted on "Project Farm" JB Weld products work great. I would use the 2 part regular JB Weld epoxy over their putty. The nut will not be stressed much from vibration as the whole case, screw and nut will move together rather than against each other. Here are some of those crazy...

    B-2400 Overheat issue

If you adjust the rpm's to the right freq at idle, you can minimize tractor vibration at certain rpms and get the water surface in the rad to be glass smooth. This helps see tiny bubbles. There should be no bubbles when warmed up. Even small ones. A sloshing water surface makes it hard to see...

    Grey smoke

There is not much pressure on that screw so you could do an easy fix by cleaning the outside face of the gear case cover and put a jb weld fillet around the outside of a thin nut pressed against it. Effectively you are moving the threads further out. This will be easily accessible after the...

    Engine Knock M4500DT

6 cylinder is inherently smother than 8, 4. or 3 due to geometry. 3 cyl is worst of the lot. This causes parts to vibrate and rattle. Valve train noise per cyl is same for all (if same technology compared i.e push rod or OHC or 4 valves or 2 valves).

    Grey smoke

Not sure what you mean? One of the cover bolts was turned in until the threads ripped? If you can get the bolt out then get a tap that is 1mm ir 2mm larger and run a larger dia bolt with the same thread pitch as the stripped one.

FYI the IP Rack slides left and right (as viewed facing the installed pump). When the IP rack slides fully to the left, it is the lowest fuel position and that is where it sits at idle. The idle adjusting screw on that side adjusts idle fueling. When the IP rack slides fully to the right, it...

    Grey smoke

There are two screws. - One adjusts idle only (on fly wheel side of injector pump) - The other adjusts under-load fuel (on fan side of injector pump) Here is what to do: Remove anti-tamper cap/dust cover from adjustment screw on fan side of injector block. Warm-up machine Note the angle of...

    B-2400 Overheat issue

If rad cap is not issue then it is probably the head gasket going. From cold, run at idle with rad cap off and look for bubbles

    Engine Knock M4500DT

I recently did some work on a D600 and found that by cracking the fuel fitting at the top of an injector slighty, it would reduce fuel to that injector and cause a rod-knock-like sound. This is how I could tell if a cylinder was running right: at idle, crack each injector one at a time and see...

I played with governor limit (5 IN DRAWING BELOW) on my D600. I could set the heavy-load fuel adjustment so that it: 1. billowed black smoke (LOTS OF SOOT, with lots of power) 2. had no smoke (and low power) 3. had grey smoke and reasonable power (where it is now...SOME SOOT ...SO GREY.... I...

    Q D600 Setting Governor?

Nope. Pump, injectors, et al are fine. I am referring to the high load adjustment screw of the governor (#5 below). This is in the D600 manual. It controls how much fuel is added at max load. It simply stops how much the rack moves which in turn, controls how much the fuel inlet port opens:
