BX HST FAN REPLACEMENT: The easiest way

Hi all, Sorry for the delay in providing a photograph of the fan installation. Medical issues became a focus for me all summer. We just put the tractor away last weekend so I snapped a photo of the "backwards fan". I did ~ 10 hours of digging and a few days of bush-hogging since the fan...

BX HST FAN REPLACEMENT: The easiest way

A colleague says that he writes software because he is lazy and wants to do less work. The thought was contagious so here is the lazy (easy) way to replace the notorious broken HST fan on a BX25. There are many documented ways to do this: Remove deck and drive shaft, cut holes and remove...

RC48 Mower Deck Transplant to 54" Cub Cadet Deck

Hi Marine-MP. Likewise. Good to hear from you too! It has been a crazy last 10 months but getting back on track now. I only have the grey one. The other photos are for reference to help others. Perhaps the RC48 is yours before the resto? It was a nice one for comparison so I re-posted it.

RC48 Mower Deck Transplant to 54" Cub Cadet Deck

Hi All, My G5200 garden tractor came with a unique mower deck. It seems the original Kubota RC48 decks for the G5200 were made from a terrible metal that rusted. The previous owner of my tractor must have had the same problem so he was clever and transplanted the key parts of the RC48 to a...

    B-2400 Overheat issue

I fixed my G5200 overheating with a few grenades thrown at it at once so I do not know for sure which one did the trick. Your 2400 is larger and hopefully does not have a small rad like the 5200 so comparing may not be reasonable. One low-cost grenade you could try is to drain the coolant and...

    Reviving a G5200

    Reviving a G5200

Kept the Evaporust in for ~ 6 weeks, drained, flushed twice with distilled water then put 50/50 coolant in for the upcoming winter. One last 4 hour mow and the temp never passed 1/2 way on the gauge. Outside temp was cool at 16C. Lets see how it does in the spring. The del sol radiator is...

G5200 D600 Oil Filter Cross Reference

Off topic but if the oil pickup & strainer tube in the sump comes loose from the block then no oil will be pulled up out of the pan. I always loctite the bolts on that part when rebuilding an engine.
