    Power Loss

If its a hydraulic shuttle the "clutch" pedal is just connected to a valve to regulate the hydraulic pressure to the shuttle clutch packs. I don't know if there is any sort of free play adjustment for it. If it's a manual shuttle then yep... time for a clutch adjustment.

    Winter Storm

We used to preach to customers about getting their standby generator load banked once a year or at least once every other year. Few did. It let you know the generator could put out 100% load if needed and kept the exhaust system from gumming up on light loads. (Everyone over sizes generators)...

Yet another wheel and tire thread…..

Had a set of 23x10.50r12 like that on an old sears suburban. They were pretty decent as far as a turf tire. Haven't seen them in years. As a side note I do with Carlisle still made their HDAP tires. They were awsome tires. Kinda aggressive turf tires more like an all terrain tire for your...

It's a fuel filter... not a gas filter..... So ground speed is stopping, not the engine?

Took used oil and coolant to Advanced Auto

Wonder if they are going to burn them together or if they get separated wherever they end up?

    Trailer/tractor/excavator tracking system?

I'm sure they can be very accurate, but I've not seen that personally. But I do admit the things I'm looking for are about 90% non functional by the time they hit the ground. So no live gps is capable. However the range they give us is typically close enough to find it (most of the time) and I...

Generac is a good name as well as kohler in residential and light commercial gensets. I actually have a generac ats at the house. Pretty dependable. Local dealer has any parts I may need, but keeps telling me it's a life long switch.

    Trailer/tractor/excavator tracking system?

Not to agree with Jay, but they arnt super accurate. We get called daily to go find my (fill in the blank) that a guest took on a ride with them that fell out of their pocket. Normally they can get us close ish. Even cell phones only get you within so many feet. But at any rate. Even if your...

Took used oil and coolant to Advanced Auto

Never had an issue getting rid of either . My uncle burns waste oil to heat the shop. And antifreeze you can typically get rid of pretty easily at a Walmart, or advanced/auto zone.

Depending on the type of engine and how uts emissions system is set up, a diesel can be ran on a lot of things other then diesel. Many types of oil, if filtered properly will let them chug along just fine. (Some will make you hungry as well.) Upfront cost is a good bit more then a nat...

I worked on a lot of commercial and healthcare stand by systems. They all fired and took load right away. Coolant and oil were always fully up to temperature. The Healthcare side of things was some sort of requirement for life saving power. The commercial side of things were for refrigeration...

    Antifreeze

Toyota pink antifreeze is a "super long life antifreeze" which is a p-oat chemistry. There are quite a few other manufacturers that make the same antifreeze. mazda for example claims it is backwards compatible with the old green standby, but not to mix it as it turns the coolant black. There are...

You never know, those people in Texas didn't have a clue last year. Lots of places talking about rolling blackouts, water shortages ect. Heck I've been with out power for a week already. Never hurts to have a back up plan, if something happens.

Another grease thread, but for the MMM

Think the rule of thumb was nothing with more then 5% Moly content if you were using it for an everything grease.

Easy with that millennial stuff.... wish i wasn't in it.. own my house, only thing we owe money on is the house and solar system. Both should be paid off long before the full length of the loans. I don't think I'd have to leave my house for quite a long time. Biggest issue I see it, is we live...

L245DT hydraulic/ gear oil in bellhousing. Clutch slipping.

I know whenever I have to do the clutch on my dads l245dt, the first thing that will be coming off is the loader and sub frame. It's in the way of literally everything. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I just don't know of an easy way to get everything apart to make life easy to...
