John Deere Right to repair project

Yes correct, most engines can "learn" how to fuel with that injector properly, but it take a long time and the process is basically to compensate for wear not really to learn a new injector that wasn't programed. Been like that long before tier 4 engines. It just got more serious with tier 4...

John Deere Right to repair project

Yeah I was Industrial diesel. Engines were my main thing, but had to work on any equipment that had an engine in it that we were dealers for. Volvo, Scania, Deere, Perkins, Isuzu, Kubota, yanmar and a few others. My main focus was Volvo, Scania, Isuzu, and yanmar. Had another tech that dealt...

John Deere Right to repair project

Haven't ever played with the aftermarket tech for deere. But yes I agree the panel view is better then nothing. Very frustrating either way to have your hands tied. Largly the reason the last company I worked for started getting away from deere. Too many issues and too much down time. Even me...

John Deere Right to repair project

That's just a panel view and not a real code scanner. John deere went full on cloud based years ago. It was quite a challenge when you were in areas that didn't have internet coverage. The programming of the ecm was also more then just the tractor serial number. The configuration files include...

Looking for help with purchase – B/LX/L tractor owners with wet/soggy soil

I think tire selection would be just as important as tractor size. I've been favoring the r14 hybrid tire as of late. My dad's L245dt does well with r1 tires, but they are quick to rut up soft ground. R4 pack full of crud pretty fast. I've been unimpressed with them off road compared to the r14...

Been working with and on heavy equipment my entire life, you never had to dig with the front bucket of a backhoe? Heck the old case and deere hoes were little more then farm tractors with add on bucket and hoe. Will a tracked skid steer do it better? Undoubtedly. will a used machine cost twice...

Still not impressed with my Dealer

Not all techs are good techs, not all dealerships care about service work or training their techs or paying a fair rate. I really like my local dealer, been dealing with them nearly 20 years now. Both as a customer and from being a diesel tech and working on equipment that they didn't want to...

Some of you may remember my Post about my B2601 breaking in half!

I'd actually like to expand on that thought. Years ago when the 6.4l ford diesel was coming out one of our local Ford dealers hosted a powerstroke training and invited all the local diesel repair shops to it. One of the biggest things they talked about was filters. They had done their best to...

Best way to find value for my B7100 ?

Here's a picture of it. Sorry nothing for size reference. It's a little smaller then my dad's L245dt but a little bigger then my b7510.

Best way to find value for my B7100 ?

My cousin recently sold an ABI TLB for $7500.00 2 wheel drive hydro 25hp kohler v twin the hoe end of it was made by Bradco. Very heavy duty machine for its size. It was very rough, but worked. I had it most last sumer and passed when he offered it to me before he sold it off. It was on Facebook...

That's a comical statement, and wrong on many levels. Anything with a bucket was made to move dirt or stone. Efficiency is a different topic. To the OP enjoy your new tractor I'm sure it will do everything you need it to and more. Tooth bars are great as well.

Glad to figured it out. Odd to see a bearing fail in this manner without a major shock load of some sort. I would inspect everything very closely. And double check all tolerances and side play.

B8200 HST WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH HOT OIL

Foaming of the fluid would affect all hydro functions. Forward and reverse. I would hazard the relief valves as well, but fluid is "thicker" when cold. So it won't bypass as easy but will kick a relief easier. Not having one motion (since the hydro pumps fluid bith ways for forward/ revers...

    R14 vs r1

I got to run a few tractors that were used for boom mowing, fel work and a few rear attachments. One deere and a case. They had nokian ( not sure on the spelling) tires that looked right like the r14 style. I was very impressed with them. The wore and rode very nice on the road and had very good...

    Stingy on fuel

You guys need to think about something else here. Most of kubotas engines in the smaller tractors are actually de rated from their industrial version. A d1005 is rated at 21 hp at 2600 rpm in a b series, but 26hp at 3600 rpm in an industrial application. Hence the fuel, and govenor setting have...

Annoying Newbie Questions Ahead: Please be Patient

The 3 point is gravity down, so it needs a bit of weight to get them to move down. Your missing the lower arms, loft links and the center link. All available from a dealer or aftermarket on the web. The pto I am unsure of. I think it's electric but am unsure.

    Transmission fluid udt2

I found this to be true as well. Just did a full service on my b7510. Old fluid looked a tad milky. I shopped around for compatible fluids and found that kubota (messicks) was the cheapest for a 5 gal pail of s-udt2 at $113.00. I was actually surprised. Amsoil was nearly double the cost at...

    Startup Smoke

Diesels are not ran "rich" its not a gas engine. Extra fuel is added at start to help facilitate easy start up. A puff of smoke and even a light haze is perfectly normal for a non dpf/cat engine, untill it up to temp. For the same reason you will see soot build up on the fel. Perfectly normal. A...

I'd rather clean out an old kubota filter then use a Fram filter. So much better filter put there. Fleet guard, Donaldson, and Baldwin are a few decent companies off the top of my head.
