    Bucket thumb or grapple

I agree, of there's any real amount of brush or logs a grapple can't be beat. Having said that I'm biased as I heat with wood and handle brush quite often. If I have to move more then a truck load I end up renting a grapple. It's cheap to rent and I don't have to keep it around.

Like to know the story on this one...

Don't hold your breath. Seen some a few machines swamped pretty bad that they got going again. One down south. Guy was digging out a pond and got off the mats. Sank in till just level with the operators feet. Got another guy in with a big Volvo hoe to dig out the first hoe. Two step decks worth...

    Kubota mx6000 cab A/c system

If it's kicking on and off rapidly it's typically one of two things. Low refrigerant, or excessive high side pressure. It could be the evaporator freezing up, but thays typically accompanied by a loss or stop of airflow from the vents. Either way it should be covered under warranty on such a new...

    Kubota Z422 OCDC Suggestions?

Just a heads up if your planning on mowing with it closed all the time, you need to keep after the spindle at the discharge flap side. Those decks do an excellent job of moving all the grass to that side for discharge. Damming all the grass in there works the heck out of that spindle.

    Stingy on fuel

I had a pygmy goat named chipper back on the farm. Best darn pet ever. Was like a dog. Walked on a leash, came when you called. But he ate multi flower rose bushes like I eat chocolate cake. Great critter. Wonder if I could sneak a fence up out back and get one past the wife. Hmmmm.

    Ordered a flail mower.

If it's set up like the ferri mower I used they have a adapter plug that can be swapped out for one with an orifice to help tame the cylinder speed down a notch. Had a pretty small hole in it, but it sure slowed down the cylinder. Local hydraulic shop had them on hand.

    Have an new chev diesel?

Doesn't surprise me, my brother in law works for a chevy dealer down in lancaster. Some of the stuff he tells me about makes me question if I'd ever buy a newer chevy vehicle

    Ordered a flail mower.

Worked pretty good for doing road side mowing, the down side of the flail head in float was when you were pretty flat and had to transition in or out of a ditch. Then it was best to lower it in the ditch, then raise it up out when you were back on flat ground, instead of just letting it flop...

BX2380 50 hour maintenance - changing transmission fluid?

That stuff looks like trash imo. The sudt2 I just got was pretty much clear. The fluid I drained was lite amber in color.

BX2380 50 hour maintenance - changing transmission fluid?

Of were speaking strictly straight weight hydro oil, then I can agree. Multi grade oils that run hydrostatic trans missions, powershift, and or have wet clutches and brakes in them have a significantly higher load on them then a standard hydaulic fluid. Many of them have the ability to absorb...

    Ordered a flail mower.

Does the remote you have for angling the flail head have float? We were advised to keep it in float if the remote had it. And set the height with the three point hitch. Always seemed to work fairly well, so long as there wasn't an extream change in terrain angle. I can say after we started doing...

    Tractor Joy ride

I do the same with a few of my tractors. I live back a long private shared lane, the mail boxes are out at the road. Kids hop on and we go get the mail. Normally one of them gets to drive out and the other (youngest) gets to "drive" back. Just don't let go of the wheel with him lol.

    Which engine oil for BX2380?

There's plenty of data supporting synthetic is a superior choice, however going off of typical oil change intervals it won't reall matter as your most likely throwing good expensive synthetic oil away and the Dino oil is typically 90% used up. I used to pull test samples ever 1,000 miles on my...

    He said…she said

I find it best to keep it professional with any woman at work. Save for a few I've know for a while. More then one has been fired over something said or a comment misconstrued. Makes me miss road work some days. We have a zero tolerance policy at work, so you'll be dismissed with prejudice...

    B7100 Hydraulic block diverter (70060-00360 or 70070-00385)

Shipping to and from Canada isn't terrible. I buy and sell a decent amount of chainsaws and parts from the great white north. Last saw I got from up there was a husqvarna 390xp. Cost me $37.00 us to ship. I'd hazard a guess that adapter block would be under the $20.00 mark.

    New to me B7610

New hub is $215.00 take your old hub with you and see if the new style wedges fit. There's a new and old style. When I bought my b7510 it was missing a set of wedges. Ended up I had the new style hub so all was good. But I was advised they didn't interchange. With a drive that far I'd hate to...

    Front axel fluid

Ditto, same thing messicks told me few months ago when I inquired. I run a synthetic 80-90 wt. In mine. I keep it on hand for other stuff so I didn't have to buy extra SUDT.

    New to me B7610

They can be quite a pain to remove if stuck in. When you get them out I'd suggest a liberal coat of anti seize before you go back together. Helps for the next time you need to take the adapters off.
