    Leaves - what to use

I just mow mine over. Eventually they dissappear. Leaves are a year round thing here living surrounded by woods. They don't bother me. My dad on the other hand has this dump cart thing that attaches to the mower. Works pretty slick. Has a little engine driven shreader/ blower that sucks from...

    Turfs for BX2680 "Dealer Cost"

Doesn't sound like a bad price at all.

    Zero turn to B series

You'll miss the zero turn the first time you mow. Mowing with a mmm doesn't even come close to a decent zero turn. Speed, efficient cut and maneuverability are all sacrificed. Kinda like my leatherman. It does a lot of stuff ok but nothing truly spectacular. If your patient and look around...

HST Owners : On the gas , but having to hit the brake..?

Nothing like that but it happens from time to time. Can say on at least 3 occasions I've forgotten to lock the brakes together and had to stop in a hurry fortunately nothing hurt but ny pride. Twice was in the 310sj backhoe amd the third was in a t4.75. I try to be mindful of it and remember to...

HST Owners : On the gas , but having to hit the brake..?

Yes I think the newer B and L models lack a clutch and the brakes are on the left side of the dash.

HST Owners : On the gas , but having to hit the brake..?

Do this at your own peril. A lot of the older hydrostatic drive tractors had a clutch pedal and a motion lock. I just set the lock to what ever speed and use the cut brakes how I want. If I need to stop thats what the clutch pedal is for, or in my case tap both brakes to release the hydro. Gotta...

    B-2400 Overheat issue

Get a pressure test adapter to fit your radiator and pressure test the system. Right now your just aimlessly replacing parts. A temp of 198*f is perfectly safe and very close to most thermostat opening temps. A 190* thermostat will open between 185*- 200*f. If you keep filling the radiator to...

How far do you road travel your BX?

I feel this is kinda a loaded question and necessitates a tiered answer. On the farm, a few miles was perfectly normal, hopping between fields during plating/harvest or hay. Same applies to my uncles farm. It's about 2 miles away from my place. If I need the backhoe or something bigger then what...

    Turfs for BX2680 "Dealer Cost"

Almost looks like an off shoot of a Carlisle hdap tire.

    Turfs for BX2680 "Dealer Cost"

I'd personally not go through kubota for tires. When I was getting tires for my B, I was quoted $1200.00 for 4 tires and nearly $550.00 for two rear wheels. Tax and shipping not included. Miller tire hooked me up with the all 4 for $900.00 and change for the tires and I got nearly new set of...

    M6800 Loader valve question

I was thinking the sv would work but I didn't look up the tractors flow rating. The rd5000 series would be a viable contender then. Easily had and priced reasonably. I would assume open center with power beyond function and a remote kit and he would be home free.

Break in time for new pistons and rings ?

You need load to break in rings, not static, dynamic load. Ie put it to work. Load the rings. The pussy footing around is for cam shaft break in. If it's the original cam there's really no need to light load it or vary the engine speed the rings don't care. If the machine shop has done their...

    M6800 Loader valve question

You can convert most prince sv or rd5000 valves for cable operation. Use to use them frequently for dump teuck controls. They are pretty dependable and come in many configurations. Any local hydraulic shop should be able to hook you up at half the cost of kubota.

Price check for used B2320HST, loader and backhoe from 2009

Not knowing your area, but recently looking and buying myself. Any B series that had a FEL, belly mower,4x4 and was well taken care of was between $12-15k. In rough shape or 2wd I was seeing $8-10k. FEL and a hoe low end was $12k high end was nearly new prices. The cheaper ones moved fast. Like...

    Ordered a flail mower.

Few thoughts. The skids are more so if the mower hits an uneven spot, not nessisarily supposed to be riding along on the ground at all times. Try setting them a bit higher and using the three point to keep them just off the ground. Second you can swing your three point arms to one side to...

Best all around tire for your sub compact tractor!

I got galaxy in the rear and Carlisle on the front of my B7510. Sorry I don't have any comparison pictures side by side. The rears are a half inch narrower then their turf counterparts. This I knew when buying them. The fronts are nearly the same width as factory. Tread pattern looks a bit...

    Cylinder Liners

Lisle makes a nice hone set up. Many different grits to choose from for roughing to final finish. A bore gauge is a necessity imo. As well as a way to set it up. Doesn't really take long to do 2 cylinders that small. It is kinda expensive to only use once though. Lisle 15000 Engine Cylinder...

    Bucket thumb or grapple

You can rent nearly anything around here. Closest place to me keeps a decent bit of attachments for skid loaders around. So long as you have a 3rd function as ssqa you can use a bunch of them on the front of your tractor.
